Using Redmi 2 1GB RAM (Chinese version. Bought from China). Updated to 6.7.1.0 Global & then to 5.8.28 Global Beta. But buggy so reverted to 6.7.1.0 Global. But my concern is when I installed and played Asphalt 8 Airborne it lagged unbelievably too much even in LOW graphics. I have 5-6 other daily user apps installed.
Does this lag relates to anything about OS version or anything else. Experts pls help.
Apart from this lag, this is a truly good phone.

i cant view the smilies when i receive any text. Its showing boxes instead. This happened right after the latest system update for redmi 2.

hey, my redmi 2 has suddenly stopped working
It was working perfectly fine till night but as soon as I woke up in the morning it stopped working, It's screen is not broken, there have been no porblems so far. I tried switching it off and then starting it again but it wont restart. I even tried charging it, but even that's not happening. Please help me. what shall I do ?

Bought this phone for around 120$USD / IDR 1.540.000 last month and very satisfied !
im using redmi1S before, and now i change to redmi2, even the camera still same, but the UI is smoother and battery backup also better.
i can get 5 hours and more on screen on time..
plug out the charger at 09.00AM, and still have around 20% battery left at 20.00PM..and im using this device in heavy usage for heavy traffic email, texting, some phone calls, browsing, listening music, video streaming and with H+ ON, Wifi ON , GPS ON.
overall its very good cheap reliable smartphone..:)

MIUI 7 is the latest OS based KitKat. Xiaomi won't release they kernel since CyanogenMod 12 build by Kumajaya. I think, Xiaomi will still on KitKat for Redmi 2.
MIUI OS consume lot of RAM same as CM11 and CM12. On Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7270 with CM12 installed have 600+MB free RAM for first install but Redmi 2 not.
The big problem for Redmi 2 is heating, play games couple of minutes causing heating 40+ degree. I search many way to get rid that has no result.
Playing Dead Trigger 2 on Ultra High is so lag, even medium still lag some times. Battery was good, I had to greenify some system apps to reduce battery consumtion.

Xiaomi have no services in Goa. The service center shown on Xiaomi website is not servicing Xiaomi phones. 'm having a lot of trouble fixing my phone.
Buyers in Goa, buy phones from this company at your own risk. Warranty on this phone is of no use.
It has been more than 2 months the customer care services do not give any confirmed solution even after frequent follow-up.

after 1 month this device is good
dont try to change from kitkat to lolipop
use mipc suite for update
wonderful ,outstanding device in budjet range
