I'm using this device since 2016. Still working smoothly. MIUI has awesome interface & features. Just love it..

I've been using this phone for around a year now and honestly, it's killing me. I am unable to use apps such as Facebook, Snapchat, Google Maps or even Chrome (even with just one tab open) without it heating up and crashing with every 5 seconds of use. Recently, it froze and restarted while I was trying to answer a phone call. This is with no other apps open! Anyway, if you don't want a phone that freezes and restarts randomly (at least for me), don't get this phone.

Bought it 1 year ago, installed MIUI Global, now MIUI 9 Global Beta 7.9.15 ROM because of default ads and apps when I purchased the phone. But after that, it's an excellent phone. Good performance, runs apps nicely (games as well in AA), no bugs, camera is good for the price, lots of info in phone, lots of apps you might need like weather that uses accuweather and integrates nicely, converters, systems scanners and storage space freeing apps, torch, virus scanner, you don't really need any tool apps, all default and easy on resources and not in your face or showing as notifications or ads. Very good and bright display light, battery is still very good after a year. Only annoyance is, if you use a lot of apps then storage space will not be enough. You can solve this with SD card, but then I think you lose one SIM slot, which I personally couldn't afford. For nicer UI, I use ZenUI launcher and togher with the MIUI all looks very nice. And is cheap. Recommended.

Purchased online redmi3s and after six months found that there is a very serious problem in charging and all the photos and videos taken during our tour lost. Approached the authorised local servicing centre at Kottayam our nearest place for four continuous days and still the problem remains. It is always better one buys less costly one so that even if face problem purchase a new one

my phone cannot connect to network , it seem the connection is changed when I updated the phone..how can I handle this problem

Have been using this phone for one and a half year. Pretty good for its price. Battery can last about 2 days with normal usage (browse internet a few hours, casual gaming, several calls and messages). Never have any issue with dual sim card.
However, the device can easily get hot while playing games, especially if you are using casing. It's also occasionally laggy while playing games with big filesize (200 - 300MB), and some games with really big filesize (500MB or more) has been crashing quite a lot. If you plan to play a lot of heavy duty games, I don't recommend this phone, otherwise it's pretty solid.

I've been using this phone for 1 year now. No problem at all. I bought this phone on 29/5/2016. Within a week, I changed to custom ROM, Cyanogenmod 12.1 by nehz. still using this awesome rom until this day. i know there are a lot of latest custom rom available but this rom seem already good for me. no heating, no battery problem, no lag, no bullshit from stock xiaomi. sometimes i forgot that im actually using xiaomi phone lol

i brought this phone from china when released, one big issue is lagging (slow) when you connect wifi , memory is 16GB but 6GB used for software only 10GB remained, slow mobile, do not recommend

i got this phone just 11 months it lost service ,it is showing no service it is a bad product i dont like this i showed this in service they said to change mother board of cost max 7000 why should i pay that munch my phone is gold color jsz 11000 i can get a new phone instead of this ............very very bad product...useless...why should pay that much for mother board and jsz not working for the network service.....useless phone

i've been use this phone for long and work fine , smooth but sometimes lagging when open facebook app and one is make me disappoint , the internal is 16gb but only 10.96gb can be used , very worse
