my Redmi 4x is still working fine. just because I don't use a cover it has problems on the screen but I have no problem with it. but in the 3rd year using this, the SIM card is somehow always not read and needs a restart if I didn't use internet for a long time. I usually always on stand by using flight mode when I'm not using it, but doing it now caused the problem stated above happens. so I have to always stand by using internet to keep SIM card available. I'm thinking to buy a new one due to this problem, but even the latest Redmi phone is still bigger than Redmi 4x. should I just wait for possibly "same size as Redmi 4x" phone in the future? haha :(

This is such a great phone. extremely durable! used it without a case for 3 years, been dropping it non stop and it still works well. some scratches, nothing serious. screen is loosing color and vitality but i bet if you use a case it's not going to happen. one of the best phones i had. too bad the camera sucks, that's the only problem with xiaomi. they gotta make flagships grade cameras and they will sell big time.

This Phone is Amazing... From 2017-Now... Havent replace battery yet.. LCD still good but it has green tint at edge (not a problem)..overall good device..
Hmm anyone here know best custom rom for 4x?

volverine, 14 Jun 2020did someone of you guys upgraded OS to Oreo or Pie?Yeah, I have tried several Android 10 ROMs like Havoc, PE, Lineage, Evolution but then I came back to Pie on AOSP EXTENDED. Its just amazing! 3 years and battery on screen is 7.5 hrs

After 3 years phone battery died & display is showing to fade.
After 3 years 1 month display is fully color fade (nothing can be seen on screen) & touch screen is not working.

The Best ever phone to my liking.
Wish Xiaomi would make phones the same size as this. I want to buy another but cant get the same size as this one, with the same quality and features.

Overheating, killing its battery with it (definitely a planned thing). Battery temperature sensor just malfunctioning after some time, make the phone useless, because it can't even charge, and shut itself down.

Indestructible like a brick. I've been using it for 3 years as a second phone for pokemongo playing and its GPS and battery are very reliable, especially for the phone of 150 euros. I bought it because I prefer 4.7'' size phones. Just bought a second exact same one for my third pokemongo account, because I could not really find another reliable cheap android that size.
