Does this phone has any issue with ram management? I heard it stopped sending push notifications from apps like messenger or WhatsApp in the idle mode (when the screen goes black).

It's a budget friendly phone. Camera performance is not so good and so bad. Battery so good and also Touch Response. There is an issue and that is the volume key which does not work several time. Hope Xiaomi fix the issue very soon.

I'd go with 4GB/64GB if you need that little bit of extra speed, but go for 3GB/32GB if you don't heavily use your phone and are ok with a little less storage :)

I purchased this phone just 2 days earlier. Previously i was using Mate 10 lite. I just wanted to share with all of you that this is one of the best phones i have ever used. It is far better than Mate 10 lite. Battery timing is excellent and can be used for 2 days on wifi and data. Camera is much better than Mate 10 lite. I liked it. Charging time is not much faster as it take 2 hours to get full charged with 2V normal charger. I will try 3V charger to test faster charging.

So, no more Redmi Notes eh? The Redmi 5 Plus should clearly have been the Note 5, a successor of the Redmi Note 4, but Xiaomi wanted a fresh start. The fifth generation is trying to shake things up and the new look obviously called for a new name. So, Xiaomi retired the Note brand promoting the Plus from a mere qualifier to a proper name. The phablet lives on regardless, and goes all-in with a wide 6" screen.
