AnonD-80360, 01 Mar 2018LG Q6 is running SD 435 which supports upto FHD(1920x1200)... moreWhy should I lie unnecessarily. What is the point. Some say that I'm a person hired by Xiaomi's competitor. For your information if a device is really bad no competitor would say that because they want consumer's to buy it and fail. If the product fails the failed consumer would never buy another product from the same company. To be honest actually I'm helping Xiaomi. To end up when you've the brains to find out that 435 can only support 1980 x 1200 Pixels you will definitely have the brain to find out the display resolution supported by 625. Another piece of information is that there is a lot of difference between Display Resolution and Display Aspect Ratio. The reality is that, I can wake a person who is asleep but I can't do it who is pretending to be.

whereas Redmi note 5 is running SD 625 which supports FHD + (2160 x 1440) so SD 625 can easliy run FHD+ without any upscaling..

But, I care. I am a vigorous reader and aggressive learner. Though I've written a lot against these mobiles, I am not against Xiaomi and I have written everything very decently with dignity and pride. Why am I doing this. It is just only for the people who can't afford to spend money lavishly. These budget phones will not sell in the West. It is specially made for India. Ethically it is not right to expect more from budget phones. But at the same time it has to do really something for what it is made.

Also you have no idea of how a GPU draws pixels on the screen. Please research and study further before you say stuff out of nowhere.

But I guess you're right the Phone Manufacturers should instead listen to you rather than Qualcomm.

My conclusion is that every mobile processor supports one specific display aspect ratio. Every mobile device's display should match the DISPLAY ASPECT RATIO supported by the processor employed by the device to function efficiently.

                          DISPLAY

                          FHD+
                          WUXGA

They say it as 2 different things. FHD+ doesn't automatically mean WUXGA.
                          FHD+ is 2160*1440
I like how it's just a few people who think they're smart enough to find out something like this... But don't even care to look hard enough.

I also find it funny that you random people on the internet expect others to believe you and your conspiracy theories over a trusted Manufacturer and a trusted review site like GSMArena.. You probably wouldn't be the first one to find this out if it was actually legit.

AnonD-269108, 28 Feb 2018Dear anonymous, go-to Qualcomm site again, in display specs... moreMy Dear Friend, if you are interested in this phone just buy it. No-one stops you. But, for your information FHD means 1920 x 1080 Pixels. FHD+ Plus means anything ANYTHING above 1920 x 1080 Pixels. If you multiply that in a calculator FHD amounts to 2073600 Pixels and FHD aspect ratio is 16:9. Now, coming to Snapdragon 625, it can support FHD+ i.e., upto 1920 x 1200 Pixels which is termed as WUXGA which amounts to 2304000 Pixels i.e., upto the maximum of 16:10 aspect ratio. Finally coming to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, its display resolution is 2160 x 1080 Pixels which amounts to 2332800 Pixels in the aspect ratio of 18:9 which can't be supported by Snapdragon 625. Whatever you see on the display of the mobile is a stretched image to fit the aspect ratio 18:9. To believe or not to believe is your wish. But facts are always facts and can't be manipulated according to our likes. Good Luck.
