Any update's did not getting continuesly...this say fake...this device till did not getting android pie...but this web page specified android 9(MIUI 11). it's fake...so don't brought xioami low cost mobile... xioami create a marketing and partiality...

Good features/spec for its price.
Terrible awful software. Latest forced upgrade was the last straw. Out of nowhere it flash "System destroyed" and been dead ever since.

Redmi 5 plus is good midrange device. I really appreciated Xiaomi for making this phone. But, I really confused,will this device.receive android pie in future? Because I trusted this website.

You can still use the Chinese MIUI 11 Rom for your Reddi 5 Plus as it has Android 9 Pie

You must unlock bootloader and use xiaomi mi flash...

Tuppa, 02 Jan 2020Same here..i dont know whats the real issue here, but my ph... moreIf the touchscreen is unresponsive / ghost-touching / erratic behaviour - it's a known issue if you look around enough. Not sure about rebooting though. If it's in-warranty you might be able to get it looked at; with that said the unresponsive touchscreen is a known fault with the Redmi 5 Plus - whether Xiaomi have acknowledged it is another thing but you might have some luck with it out-of-warranty since it IS a manufacturer's fault. Frankly Xiaomi should have done a mass recall of this device but they're unlikely to.
Apparently the fault is due to "copper oxides that gathering on that connector [...] just above the battery". Not something I've had with any other smartphone.

Screen freeze & auto rebooting during idle. Has anyone got any solution coz i can't even access the miui forum. Btw I've already hard reset. Didn't solve anything
