You must unlock bootloader and use xiaomi mi flash...

Tuppa, 02 Jan 2020Same here..i dont know whats the real issue here, but my ph... moreIf the touchscreen is unresponsive / ghost-touching / erratic behaviour - it's a known issue if you look around enough. Not sure about rebooting though. If it's in-warranty you might be able to get it looked at; with that said the unresponsive touchscreen is a known fault with the Redmi 5 Plus - whether Xiaomi have acknowledged it is another thing but you might have some luck with it out-of-warranty since it IS a manufacturer's fault. Frankly Xiaomi should have done a mass recall of this device but they're unlikely to.
Apparently the fault is due to "copper oxides that gathering on that connector [...] just above the battery". Not something I've had with any other smartphone.

Screen freeze & auto rebooting during idle. Has anyone got any solution coz i can't even access the miui forum. Btw I've already hard reset. Didn't solve anything

Parku, 29 Nov 2019Screen became translucent out of the blue after just a year... moreDo you mean "screen retention"? that's a hardware issue. You need a new screen. I've had this issue. But it isn't that noticable like burn in on AMOLED screens. But it will get worse overtime. So you'll have to replace your screen if you don't want so see image retention.

This is a very good phone compared to its price.
Good performance, nice design, good battery (although heats during heavy usage or during charging), mediocre screen and a bad to a very bad fingerprint sensor.
