everything is old & as like as the old models have SD625 of xiaomi except 18:9 screen
THIS IS REDMI NOTE 4 with 18:9 screen
but redmi note 4 have 4100Mah battery & smaller screen 5.5 inch with 1080*1920 & 72.7% screen-to-body compare to REDMI 5 PLUS with bigger screen 5.9 inch & 77.4% screen-to-body
SO RN4 keep more battery

The only changes is just corner screen 18:9,another else is out to dates.. Hopefully redmi note 5 will changes everything especially selfie camera..

As per usual, very disappointing choice of weak chipsets... I seems that Xiaomi targets the high market and the very low market while abandoning the mid level market. Very sad.

Xiaomi is good company .They still using the old chipset because 625 proved that it can provide good Battery life .Miui9 is very smooth on 625 that many tech reviewers tested .They just didn't want to take risk . Because last phone's from this series was hit . Already they released a phone with 660 which is mi note 3 .if they give the soc into this price then how can they make profit ?After that if anyone have any problem with 625 then go for mi note 3 . So my opinion is they have taken a good decision .Any buyer can buy it without any hesitation about battery life .As per as I know about f/2.2 with 1.25 micron pixel is not going to blow your mind but it's not so bad .It will be a good buy over Honour 7x and Mate 10 lite because Kirin 659 is a Battery loser and slower than 625 .But they can lead by camera .So decision is yours .Thanks . Don't try to think I'm a Xiaomi fan . I'm a Google fan and happy buyer of Google pixel 2.

The mediocre : camera and Micro Usb
but 18:9 with 4gb ram, 180$ is best deal.

why xiaomi still stuck in SD625?!
SD626 release more than 1years ago
SD630 also release several months ago in SHARP AQUOS S2,MOTO X4,NOKIA 7,HTC U11 LIFE
even SD635,636 ARE COMING but still nothing from xiaomi to use SD626,630
i know there is not a lot diffrence between SD625,626,630
BUT MARKETING NEED NEW STUFF

They are still using 625 because it has a significantly good Battery life and a smooth experience in miui9 which they tested on redmi note 4 .They don't want to take a risk because the last Device's of this redmi series was so good and was a big hit .I have another opinion that why they didn't change the 625 . Reason is they just released mi note 3 with 660 and it's still a new phone on market .So if they start to give 660 with a bezelless smartphone then tell me how can they make profit. I'm not a Xiaomi fan but I think that's the reason .As per as I know about f/2.2 with 1.25 micron pixels it's going to be not so great but it's not so bad .It will provide the same camera experience that Xiaomi mi a1 is giving with it's single camera. Don't buy the phone until see a whole review .

Why do you hate the sd625? They add 18:9 and better hardware expect 625. I think sd 625 is very good for now too. I use mi max 2 and it is very efficient. Mi max 2 is much more efficient compared to mi max which has sd650-652. It never lags while playing game. And the other things are good too.
I think you wanna pay $1 for phone which has snapdragon 660.
Shu. Bye bye xiaomi haters! Hahaha. Go buy iphone x then

5V/2A is slower for todays, f/2.2 is too narrow, Redmi series becomes frustrating... 180 grams is huge, 5V/3A, f/2.0,

Okay. This is on par in performance as compared to redmi note 4x. Good for me. Thanks it got an affordable price. I opt for the 4GB RAM. And I like the light blue color. Yummy! Please gsmarena I can't wait for unboxing review. Mi A1 is also very good but I'll go for this redmi 5 plus. But if RN5 comes in then I might wait but the question is when?
