Near 6 inch... moreWhy are you complaning about 720p phones If you don't love this phone just don't buy it there are a lot of phones that have full hd or you can pay more to get either redmi 7 pro or note wich have 1080 hd but if you don't care about the display and want to save money there is redmi 7 and redmi 7a I personbaly don't care about the screen I prefer getting better processor and camera over the screen
So just stop complaining about 720p

Redmi and Xiaomi are spliting. This is a new breed of Redmi phone not a same as previous Redmi. https://www.firstpost.com/tech/news-analysis/xiaomi-redmi-to-split-up-and-establish-themselves-as-independent-brands-5826711.html. It may come with good specs but not with SD710 but SD675 or Mediatek Helio P90 because only both SD675 and Helio P90 can support 48 mega pixel camera for upper midrange phone if the leaks are truth about Redmi will launch new phone with 48 mega pixel camera on 10.1.2019.

The latter can be fixed by installing a custom rom. Enlighten me about the billions of corners that were cut. The plastic back is not a dealbreaker because phones in the old days used plastic and they were durable. Same goes for the poco f1.
