4 pixels will be merged together to produce one big pixel this helps in lowlight photos

If only they bump it up to FHD! (T_T") It can replace my Mi A1. I've been anticipating a phone with this form factor for a long time now. Currently Mi 8 SE and Sony Xperia XZ2 compact is the only available phone on market thus far. Sadly SE is exclusive to China. With that size Small enough to fit my hand and pocket but screen-to-body ratio is almost 90%. And with an aspect ratio 21:9! The processor, storage and RAM options suit my needs. Excited to see the camera performance though. Imo, all we need is a cam that has a bright f stop, dual pixel PDAF and EIS; OIS and good mic is a plus for video content and calls. wide and telephoto lens doesn't matter if the Ai or image processing is at it's best. Just being nitpicky but dual front facing speakers is a must nowadays but I won't get my hopes up for that since this is a Redmi phone and Xiaomi never let me down on audio department.

Peres, 07 Jan 2019I don't expect much from Xiaom Mobile, phone Technology any... moremy redmi 4x prime is almost 2 years old and i can still get almost 2 days of battery life from it. if you can't take care of your phone's battery don't blame the brand for it dying on you.

FYI Redmi will be brand itself, and not part of "Mi" / "Xiaomi" brand again. Redmi will focus on budget price phone, so don't expect too much from Redmi series. If you need a higher specs, just buy Mi series or Pocophone instead

I don't expect much from Xiaom Mobile, phone Technology any more.
Last year i bought Redmi Note (4100battery), Now the battery gets drained in less than half an hour if you are on 3G mode. What a hell is this technology? I have communicated several times to your correspondents but my efforts ended in vain.

SD675 come with Kryo 460 customised Cortex A76 for Kryo gold core and Cortex A55 for Kryo silver core. SD710 come with Kryo 360 customised Cortex A75 for gold core and Cortex A55 for silver core. SD675 can support camera up to 48 MP but SD710 only can support up to 32 MP. This mean SD675 is better chipset if compare with SD710. The new Redmi leak said it will come with 48 MP camera meaning SD710 are out of picture. Only few chipset can support 48 MP camera like SD855, SD675, Helio P90, latest Kirin top tier, latest Exynos top tier but because this is midrange phone the choice is narrow to 2 chipset SD675 and MediaTek Helio P90 because midrange will not get SD855. Kirin is exclusive for Huawei and Honor and Exynos only been used by Meizu beside Samsung. So I think either SD675 or Helio P90 will be used by this new Redmi. Sorry guys your all hope to see this new Redmi to come with SD710 are shattered like a glass crash on hard rock and stop wandering about SD710. If U all continue wandering about SD710 it show U all have lack knowledge about Snapdragon chipset.

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2019Because this phone is cheaper than realme 2 pro it costs 130$ This thing is rumored to be the successor to the Redmi Pro, maybe even a product line split. There's no garuntee that it'll be a budget phone. It's time manufacturers bring back small, powerful phones.

I just want something with an equally powerful processor, screen, camera and battery in a 5.5-5.7 inch package. I love my note 6 pro, but it's huge. I wish manufacturers would put powerful specs in a small 200$~ phone for once.
