A jump from 720p to 1080p matters alot to the eyes. But the jump to 4k is NOT needed and not obvious except on shortening battery life.

Either Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 Pro are not yet officially launch and there is no official statement from Xiaomi. Right now any information about those phone is a leaks and rumors from various tech websites on internet like XDA forum, Gizmo China etc. Better wait for the official released from Xiaomi because those leaks and rumors mostly are not accurate, example Redmi Note 4 rumors said it come with SD652 but reality its come with SD625, another example Redmi Note 5 Pro/AI Dual Camera rumors said it will have SD660 but reality it come with SD636.

I hope that it will be around 145mm according to screen size no frame around the display. Finally, they use SD 710 with a big battery if the price will be still around 250euro it is definitely the winner.

Stan, 30 Dec 2018Rumors specs about this phone (the phone itself also a rumo... moreAs we know Redmi 7 and 7 Pro will come with Snapdragon 632 which means 8-cores each clocked at 1.8Ghz. But There We have a Lite version of Redmi 7 and Thats the 7A which probably have the new Mediatek Helio P35 clocked at 2.3Ghz but this model will probably comes with only 2/3GB RAM while 7 and 7 Pro with 4/6GB RAM The Redmi Note 7 is still a question maybe the S710 is the answer because its predecessor has a quiet good CPU S636 and they need to improve that if they want to be competitive in its class.

Rumors specs about this phone (the phone itself also a rumors at this time) said its will come with 2.3GHz clock speed chipset but no mention what brand of the chipset. I check the Snapdragons chipset, there is no chipset that have 2.3GHz , the neareset is 2.2GHz like SD820, SD710, SD660, SD630 and SD626, maybe they will over clock the clock speed or Xiaomi will use another brand like MediaTek or their in house chipset Pinecone Surge. Better wait for the official released of this phone.

I think Xiaomi Redmi 7 still has a full view or bezel-less screen display and does not have notch like Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 6, but why does Xiaomi Redmi 7 have a notch though only with a rounded shape?
I still like the bezel-less design without notch, but don't know for performance and specifications that might be good.
