I agree, it looks quite promising, I have a redmi 4x, which I like, and this would be a nice upgrade, as long as overall dimensions aren’t bigger than the redmi 4x

If data correct (5.84 inch, 290ppi, 4000mAh) then should be quite compact by size and long lasting battery and want to buy. I prefer less pixels and more endurance rating (more pixels drain more battery). Also screen size cannot be more if you want to use phone by one hand and phone must fit into pocket! I still use old redmi 3 because newer phones are too big with too small battery. Hope data correct and finally can buy new phone!

bongx, 27 Dec 2018w.da.f an upcoming mi phone with an sd7series will just a 7... moreWell, Redmi 3,3s = 720p.. Redmi 4(x), also 720p, Redmi 5, Redmi 6 = 720p plus (18:9 ratio), so i guess its logical for Redmi 7 to jave, also 720p Plus (in 19:9 ratio, because of notch) screen.
I agree, no way for Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 in this low end Xiaomi series. My best bet is SD 636 (from older Note series, 5, 6 Pro..). But there is a chamce that will be some MediaTek (maybe P35), if that true, then is no buy, Qualcomm is better.

I think that this phone will be the global version of mi play so propably it will have helio p35 and nog snapdragon 710

SDM710 for Redmi series? LoL, even the RN series still far away from having that chips (nor SDM670). Once again, too good to be true :) .

Anonymous, 27 Dec 2018No IP68, no deal.seriously bro? redmi phones belongs to budget midrange tier and if ever this specs are true this will destroys the competition in this segment.. that SD 710(10nm) 4k MAH and HD screen will be a really great combo for endurance on this 5.8 inch screen though the micro usb is such a bummer but otherwise this phone is really really GOOD!!!!!!!
