check yo eyes again, 28 Sep 2020dude, like I said before you either have a defective device... moreMan, I don't want to argue with you, believe me. But since I am just replying to someone that asked a specific question about the brightness, I provide my experience. My phone is already returned to Amazon, but before returning it I went to the shop to check if my phone was defective and I found out that all the Redmi 9 on display there had an awfully low brightness when compared to other phones.
So either all phones shipped to my country are from a defective lot, or my eyes are defective only when looking at Redmi 9 and work just fine with other phones.
Go check the review here on Gsmarena and they also say, literally, that "unfortunately, the maximum brightness is poor for an LCD at about 330 nits".
So it seems I am not lying at all, and I am not the only one noticing this. Of course you can live with it and use the phone even with a subpar brightness, if you wish. We even lived without smartphones back in the days. But why on earth shouldn't I say the truth when one asks for an honest opinion? Glad that you are satisfied with the your phone even if the official review in this site says its brightness is "poor" . I accept that. You say that you are satisfied, I say that I am not, the guy asking will decide whose advice is to be followed. Why can't you accept that? It will be nice to know his opinion once he buys the phone. Peace

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2020I already posted about the issue I was having with the low ... moredude, like I said before you either have a defective device or defective eyes. Stop spreading lies about redmi 9. It's brightness is a bit lower than other phones but it's more than enough to use outside. You just have to turn on sunlight mode. So far I had no issues with the brightness. The display is sharp and clear. If you want more saturation, you can change color scheme to standard mode

I bought this phone 1 month ago. Now see it gets very hot near the left side of the camera module during even normal use. I think it's the processor overheating. But why? I hardly use my phone and it shouldn't heat like this. I am scared the phone will die... please help

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2020Redmi 9 for much better performance, battery and reliabilit... moreThanks for replying. The battery on redmi note 7 is actually good but redmi 9 is a battery champ in it's own right. They are actually quite similar gaming wise, redmi 9 edges just a bit. redmi 9 is also newer so I guess better software updates

Sharkfan, 25 Sep 2020Guys can someone honestly tell me whether display brightnes... moreI already posted about the issue I was having with the low brightness of this phone.
Honestly I advise you to go to a physical shop if you can, with your old phone, then ask to see the max brightness of the Redmi 9.
Then place the two phones side by side and you will see that practically every smartphone manufactured in the last 10 years has a brighter display than the Redmi 9. Maybe you will find the screen bright enough if your last phone was a Nokia 3210 manufactured in 1999. Sure the phone has nice specs for the price but what is the point if you struggle to see the screen? The problem is clearly noticeable indoors also, not only outside with bright sunlight. If you look carefully, in Amazon reviews for example, you will see people complaining about this. Or, you can look at YouTube videos which compare the brightness of screens. Please do yourself a favour and don't make the mistake I did, buying the phone online without checking this with your own eyes.
Some guys here even speculated that I was paid to say bad things about this phone, so of course you are free to think I am lying, but I think you will thank me later if you follow my advice.
Now I have to go to the bank to collect my million dollars from Huawei, Samsung, Oppo etc....

Redmi Note 7 for cameras, but bad gaming performance and battery. It has a lot of complaints about hardware problems.
Features wise, they're almost the same. But Redmi Note 7 has Gyro sensor, which is needed to play VR games.

Got this phone 4days ago. And my experience was so nice and good the cameras are good too but it's kinda bad at night but it was good at daytime and about the battery and overall performance was so nice i played whole day playing codm, pubg,ml. I'm satisfied for this phone btw i got 4/64 variant and before i buy this phone i also choose too between rn9 (3/64) or r9 (4/64) i want performance as well so i go in r9 but i do mobile photography too but rn you can't do too much of it because of the pandemic so and also not all the time you use camera lol. that's why i go in r9 (4/64) if i do rate this phone i would rate it (9/10) such a nice phone even though its a budget segment phone.

I already tried Realme C3 lowlight shots. Deleted all shots afterwards because the images are so disappointing.
Software never solved the touch issues because the problem is the hardware itself. And that's one of the common issue of Realme C3. And that is why they are phasing it out now and being replaced by lots of entry level of Realme. They know that Realme C3 was not that good in every way. Only the chipset MTK Helio G70 was the only thing that keeps it hangging by the line.

I'm thinking of going for the redmi 9 or redmi note 7, they are both 4gb/64gb and they cost roughly the same in my country. Which one should I go for, I hear RN7 has a better camera.

Bluerain, 25 Sep 2020Realme C3 better than low light? Are you sure about that? I... moreYeah I had some issues with touch initially, but they were fixed with the software update and were related to the navigation bar.
As in daylight both phones capture good dynamic range, Redmi has better macro camera and ultra wide lens. But seriously bro in low light or even indoors, Redmi 9 struggles to maintain detail and sharpness. I compared both Redmi 9 and c3 side-by-side and c3 was able to maintain better colors and sharpness while Redmi 9 was just disappointing, it was vignetting and got too grainy. It gave me my old Redmi 4a vibes which I was able to fix by changing drivers, that's something you can't do with Redmi 9 (thanks to mediatek)
