I bought this phone in Dec.2021, generally phone runs smoothly but worst in name of smart phone - hotspot is not connected to laptop, moreover compass is not compatible to this device , no magnometer magnet is installed inside phone, so, Persons related with architecture and civil, interior and similar profession, this phone is totally a dumb phone. because you can not install compass by google play app.
Hot Spot is also not connected to laptop, if By chance it is connected , then it does not catch signal after disconnecting.

It's a very good phone, but I didn't like that:
> Can't use some ADB debug functions without a Mi Account. (Why????)
> You can use/format your SD card as external medium only, so unencrypted.
> I was hoping to use some of Xiaomi's apps (Dialer, SMS) but it comes with Google's.
Otherwise, a good phone, I can live with that. But personally it bothers me a lot about using my SD card as an external medium only, if my phone gets lost or stolen, everything on the SD card would be easily accessible.

Before Android 11, phone was fast! After 11, it became little less slower. After first Redmi 9, which was constantly restarting, I can say it is solid budget phone, even tho it may bug sometime. But if u want better phone, I suggest Redmi Note 9. This is small budget phone, don't expect amazing speed. Camera is not great as it looks. Battery lasts solid. If u have 32gb version, memory can get full fast, before installing everything around 15gb will be already used. My suggestion is, if u don't have that big budget buy Redmi 9, if u do have a bit bigger buy Redmi Note 9.

Its a great budget phone. Been using it for for a year. The cameras are not so good in low light though. But for the price pretty ok for a budget phone. No lag, no crashes. I didnt really update the software though. The screen is a bit low in colours a bit grey, but then again, for the price you cant complain. Im using it as a back up phone now as Im upgrading to a better redmi.

Please do not buy this phone. This phone could not sync my contacts saved on google because their contacts app clashes with google. The phone crashes, its slow, it comes pre-installed with unnecessary apps that use up memory and some you cant uninstall. Just dont do it

Been using this phone(3/32gb) ever since September of 2020. Its good but lacking as expected for a budget phone. For the price this phone is very worth it. Average mobile game gets around 50fps. although I don't recommend buying this in 2022 ever since the android 11 update it became slow asf. simply clicking and browsing takes a delay to register. the ram management got worse than before. especially the background apps management is just unbearable. but that was MIUI 12.5 android 11.
Luckily I got annoyed enough and downgrade the phone to MIUI 11 and It feels fast again. so if you buy this in 2022 Highly recommend to downgrade. there are no official custom ROM for this phone so downgrade is a safer option if you want better performance. there are no major problems ever since I downgraded only the few features I used but replaceable. like the wireless debugging and control centre. but I'll take it if it means performance and better ram management.
