4GB RAM (64GB ROM) variant. Very good phone for the price using it as my daily driver bettery performance is excellent, decent loud speaker stock camera is okay but better with Gcam app. No lag whatsoever came with Android 10, upgraded to Android 11. For the price this phone is a good performer I'm very happy with the device I totally recommend it.

legit, im gonna tell you. my Redmi 9 gets fps cut even freezes for literal 4 minute because of a 8 ball game. WHILE IT CAN RUN ON A HEAVY MOBILE GAME SMOOTHLY. i trully regret buying this phone.

Sorry but it is the worst phone I've ever had. Problems right after first day of using. Phone freezes on the most simple tasks to the point I can't even use the power-off button to make it react. When on call, the screen lights up all the time and it can cause unwanted hang-up. Also call sometimes just gets silent and only way to resolve it is to hang up and call again. I've only used the phone for 4 months and it seems like I've been using it for 4 years. Today the phone charger port decided to malfunction and now the phone can't be charged or used before I take it to professionals to fix the port. At least I hope I have warranty because I definitely wouldn't pay anything to fix this phone because it can't be fixed. It might be cheap and look nice but it's definitely not worth anything. Sad!

i got the Redmi 9 the other day upgraded it from MIUI 11 to 12 so far i have no issues with it, no lags on any apps or freezing issue. i have installed CODM and plays on it regularly still doing fine. i'm liking this phone along with my main Xiaomi phone too.
this phone is for someone who is not picky as far as photo quality is concerned, the output is just right social media purposes. I have no plans of making a poster size photos from it, it's not designed to do that. i have the 4/64 variant global version, battery is obviously awesome no doubt.

The worst piece of GARBAGE I've ever touched.
Won't even communicate with itself.
The inbuilt "app" prompts NEVER STOP AND THERE IS NO WY to pick or disable the add in my own music !!!
Insists on connection to WiFi networks for updates even though I'm using mobile data.
The translation app is ridiculous !!
You ask for the weather and it gives you the morning news in Chinese !!!
It randomly changes language.
There is no way to stop the inappropriate dating adds !!!
I wouldn't give this phone to a tramp and I sure as hell will never use xiami or whatever again.
Absolute GARBAGE
Just hope I can retrieve "my own data" that I purchased without their Intrusive adds

I have a 4/64 redmi 9 and it is a buggy mess. Hangs up, touch controls stop responding, ghost clicks, various apps get frozen. Overall, not a good experience. i have used it for a year, and have done a full reset.
i had a redmi 4 before, i am seeing a serious downgrade despite all the flashy stuff.

my advice, if you can, try both phones borrowing them from people you know or at least try those which are exposed in the shop for test.
I wouldnt choose realme although in this case is better. it has too bright camera which I dont like. everything else is better on realme, performances and battery. but xiaomi is a some kind of a habbit to me.
