The phone lagged too much on stock Rom had to use a Custom Rom it is much better but the lagging is still there I've been using it for two years now currently there a better phones for the exact price as this one i wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this phone avoid it at all cost

Please guyz, for the money the phone is amazing. I am using it for more than two years now. It works smoothly with emails, whatsapp and normal browsing. Also all the bank apps works more than fine.
For less than 90euros it is amazing.
If you want to play heavy games, yes you will have issues but let me tell you that it runs clash of clans decently.
Please expect what you pay for and stop complaining.
Ps: i am in Greece and waiting for the miui 12.5

Am currently using Redmi 9A and it's currently frustrating my daily work. I ordered the phone online. The phone can't connect to my desktop or laptop Bluetooth, the phone is always not responding especially when am done making calls, the phone freezes at will. I have used countless phones but this is by far the worst. Am planning to sell it off and buy a reasonable phone. My MTN sim doesn't even browse properly on the phone except glo sim. The MTN jeep displaying connection not secure. It's such an annoying phone. I do not recommend not even 4 my enemy

I've been using it for 2 years now and I wish I need a new phone because I love changing but I can't because this one has everything!

After 6 months, my redmi 9a (4/64) has problems.
Screen is freeze or not responding and need to lock and unlock frequently.
Playing mlbb is so lag and it is very angry when screen hang is battle.
Now i am trying to buy another phone.

The worst phone I've ever had. The whole system is always stuttering I'm going to smash the phone that stutters every time I enter an app. My advice is that the idiot who made the phone should at least improve the quality. Even as I type this, the phone is stuttering so much

How good is it?
Also how is vivo phone?
In my android experience, I rate samsung galaxy experience as number one.
I had a sony xperia z1 compact which died in exactly 3 years from purchase, not impressed.
Had ulephone tiger, which died once the screen got damaged in a year. Piece of crap.
Had a nokia 3.2 which is still functional but started misbehaving after a fall from low height in 2 years of usage. After the fall, ghost touches, battery drain, power button failure, etc. I needed a good phone.
So I got redmi 9a for now.
I'm hoping in the future to make informed choices from your own experiences.

Been using this phone from June. It was the best value for money device I could buy at the time.
Pros:
Big bright screen of 6.5 inches.
Long lasting battery life.
Cons:
It struggles with poor 4g/lte data signals, I have to step down to H+ to browse smoothly.
Takes 3 solid hours to charge from zero.
2gb RAM is slow and hangs for minutes at times.
32gb ROM is not enough, I had to supplement with 32gb external memory card.
Mediatek cpu heats up during continuous web browsing.
Sometimes it installs apps without permission.
For sometime now, I can not send text messages from sim 2, but can make and receive calls from that sim 2.
Overall I would rate this a 6.5/10.
Would have gotten a Samsung at this price range (but the cpu was terrible compared to this phone), also saw a Vivo (but screen was a small 6 inch).
Would I buy a Xiaomi device again, I doubt 🧐

It takes away the internet when I try to do something's about it. It changes passwords and even Mac, IP, sim
Kernel and Manny more things. I can't send any texts.
Anti viruses don't help. And hard reset doesn't work.
If u reboot it's done after 2% from a 100% hard disk.
It send and download without my knowledge even install stuff on my phone and I don't even know. If I delete the dangerous files. After a few minutes,it's back on the spot. And I even don't know what to do about it.
Only that i gotta smash it in a 1000 pieces. And never ever, i bay an xiaiomi or Redmi again. Why do u even destroy and rebuild a perfect android system. And sell it here. Keep the shot in china oke!!!!!!!! 🤬

Use debloater software to uninstall/disable unused system apps.
What did you expect with 2GB of ram? Of course it's laggy.
MIUI sucks.

The hardware is very decent. The battery is powerful, the screen is resistant, it is a fantastic deal for 90 euro.
However the software is a DISGRACE. It comes with a modified version of Android that has a very aggressive battery/memory management. It doesn't matter that you want to disable it, it will simply ignore your instructions if you do so. If you for example leave your browser window, open another app and comes back 5 seconds later, it will reload the page most of the time. Considering almost all online purchases require external authentication with another app, it makes it a nightmare to use it to buy something or login into your online bank. Due to that, many apps will behave weirdly, and it will be simply impossible to use apps that need to be always on like a pedometer. And no, this is not due to low memory/bad processing capacity. I have an Xperia Z from 2014 running on Android older than 5 that doesn't do that.
It still has good value for money but I don't understand why ruining an otherwise decent product with this terrible MIUI OS. At least let costumers decide if they want the battery lasting a bit longer in exchange of crippling important functions.
