Tiny update on my Redmi 9T and some history:
1. Before posting this opinion here, I've rebooted my phone. Still alive, fortunately. Rebooting all my phones once every week to refresh them. Quite the hassle, but whatever 😑
2. MIUI 12.0.17 global with 6/128 variant. Sold in Malaysia. Yup, I'm Malaysian. Greetings fellow earth citizens. Yg dari Malaysia tu cuba ckp melayu sikit 😆
3. Bought this R9T on 21st Jan 2021 from a small shop nearby me. Official reseller of many phone brands in my area.
4. About my device: rooted? Nope. Custom rom? Nope. Ever opened the back cover? Nope. Ever accidentally dropped it? Yup. Twice. No physical damages.
5. All system updates are handled via OTA in phone settings. I don't trust updates from external sources even if it comes officially from Xiaomi.
6. The only thing I've change to my phone is replacing the MIUI launcher to Nova6 Prime(I hate what they did to Nova7 🙄). Been using Nova since 2015. All my phones has it.

I've used this phone for my main phone for 5 months, everything is good until the deadboot problem shows up. Already sended to the service centre, hope the issues will not show up anymore. Avoid buying this phone or you'll regret it, I'll recommend the redmi note 10. For those who have repaired this phone, have you all still encountered the deadboot issue?

Android 10 miui 12.0.17.
I've stopped worrying about when I'll get the update, and am more concerned with when it'll get the next security patch issued by Google to the manufacturers.
The last one my phone has is from September (2021).
Xiaomi (if you have any rep that monitors this), why don't we have October and November security patches released to our phones, yet ?

You can also do similarly from Google's Files app.
You might want to download an app from Google Play called Auto RAM Cleaner.
So, various options to speed up the phone without rebooting it.

I had this dead boot as well, happened to me twice. First was it took me 3 days to drain the battery while it's off. I tried to turn it on and the drained battery indicator showed and I immediately charged it, it worked tho. After 5 days, I started to notice my phone slowing so I tried to shut it down(biggest mistake) and it won't turn on again. Took me 4 days to get it back and do the same thing again. Took me 3 tries to hit the drained battery indicator in a day, idk what was happening but I did managed to open my phone again.
Right now I haven't turned my phone off for a week and I'm worried that this may slow my phone down(I heard restarting the phone is necessary) and I'm afraid to turn it off again since I Freelance using this phone and the dead boot might take even longer than before..
Even bad news, we live in a province with no nearby xiaomi service center or any authorised stores. We have to travel to the city which takes 8 hours to do so but we don't have the money for that.
I heard we can fix it by opening the back and heating the IC with thermal paste or smth, but I don't have the tools for that and might even break my phone more.
