Hi everyone. My Redmi9t phone experienced deadboot last month and been recovered for almost a week after I got it to the repair shop since the service center is too far. However this time I am experiencing a lagging issue, can't even open my yt, my chrome, my camera and the flashlight. The last time I update it was July 2021. Is it okay if I update it now? Because I read some infos that the update is not stable yet. What to do?

My R9T currently connected to my SM-N976F via wifi and it never disconnected. My laptop also sharing the connection. Zero disturbance.

I guess some batches of this troublesome Redmi 9T are affected huh? 😅

But I agree with you that many older generation Android phones tend to last longer than current one we have today. My Lenovo K920 from 2014 still up and running right now and just sit idling on my desk with its original Android Lollipop 5.1. Only the bloated battery has been replaced.

I blame the fragileness of today's phones due to manufacturers tend to release new models rather quickly and also way too many of it.

Is the deadboot problem also occurs for the global release? Been deathly afraid of upgrading the miui cause of the frequent phone breaking reviews. Mine still in factory system with an available 12.0.17.0 update.

But it has wifi issues likes wifi disconnecting etc. It is possible that some batches of redmi 9t/poco m3 is faulty from factory.

I don't know about the issue in Redmi 9T but I just wanna say that my Redmi 6A still works fine. The battery doesn't drain, camera quality is low but impressive for me. So I guess all your issues are just minimal and are better than mine. Btw, my redmi 6A is only months away to turn 4 years.

                                    Ok I'll bite 😑

Been using this phone since late January 2021 and still using it as a secondary phone. Love the big 3 day battery. I'm typing this opinion using this phone too.

All of your complaints about the dead boot issues got me genuinely concerned after doing some further digging. My apologies if I made fun earlier about the issues you're facing. Sorry folks 😅. Hopefully you'll get your compensation for this trouble huh?

I see this problem mostly happened to Poco M3 and Redmi 9T, but what about the model Redmi 9 Power in India or Redmi Note9 4G in China which basically share the same internals with Redmi 9T and Poco M3? Do they have the same issue too? 🤔

And why is it that this dead boot issue never occurred to my phone? This Redmi 9T 6/128 global variant I bought for RM659 in late January. Not a heavy user. I don't even game with it. Just for call in/out/text/messenger and casual browsing when my primary phone(SM-N976F) died early.

Just did a test reboot of my 9T, and the phone survived !

Never before now (ie reading some of the comments) did I ever think that the simple act of rebooting a smartphone, would be like playing a game of Russian roulette.

Here in Myanmar even tho I bought this phone on May 2 and used for only 3 months and when I got issue they don't take any responsibility and ask me 25$ for repair service ;) and they still said 1 year warranty lol
