idk why people complaining about SD card, but nowadays cloud storage is getting more common than 3 years ago when Xiaomi released Redmi Note 3 and Mi 5--even Mi 5 doesn't have SD card.
For real, 64GB is just more than enough for a smartphone even for gaming phone. Theoritically, 64GB could mount about 20 - 30 games with average 1,5GB game in it, while average game capacity is less than 1 GB--for some relatively simple game.
As I mentioned before, cloud computing--including cloud storage system is more common from previous year. You can backup your files from that by using Google Drive and Google Photos ( Google Photos got unlimited storage for Pixel users ). It's easy to use too. Just connect to wifi, select your important data--music and photo is common thing to backup, and you safe. For contacts, messanging app, call history, you can use the phone local backup. If there is no backup facility to backup contact, call, and messange in your phone, that's a bad phone.
IR blaster is quite useful if you have any electronics as a backup. Personally, it's a quite big dealbreaker for me, but in terms of frequency in usage is worth to ditch IR Blaster. Responsiness is a problem and compatibility that makes me got lazy to use it. Frustating too.

But I want a local copy on my phone too and I should not have to go online to view a video or a photo. It's rubbish not having an sd card slot. The latest flagship models from Samsung have it so why do OnePlus and Xiaomi have to be different?

For those who have an SD card fetish; When will you decide getting out of your caves and start making use of technology? Why do the cloud services exist? Why do they making faster storage chips and USB transfer rates? Why do they boast of their UFS technologies since the storage chips are so prone to failure??? You just can't blame the whole technology because of one single scrap that is occurred in the production. It's 2019 guys.

joe nodden, 30 May 2019Then either get the 256GB model, or don't buy the damn $350... moreThe issue my man is that internal memory are prone to failure, imagine you can't access anymore your 256gb for whatever reason that internal memory fails, it happened to me before and I only got safe because I had my MicroSD slot and pulled the SD card and inserted into a new phone. The old just gone to garbage cause the memory corrupted and smartphone doesn't even start, only bootlooped.

I personally believe that, if this phone were to compete with other phones at this $300-$400 category, then I think they should add these three things:
1) IR blaster
2) SD card slot (most phones at this price have one)
3)Stereo speakers (cause I heard that the K20 series doesn't have one)
These are things that I just feel that should have been added to the phone to really separate it from the competition and make it special. But, even if we go to the forums and beg them to add these afore mentioned things (especially 2), which made a lot of people angry) I wouldn't mind using this phone without them. I really love the K20 Pro and I can't wait for the global release. I just thought that the phone would be better with them. Otherwise, I okay with it.
