Trad, 22 Apr 2023this is a semi-finished product, miui 14 destroyed this pho... moreno it's not as bad as you say. in my opinion almost any smartphone is a semifinished product because companies don't give programmers and developers enough time to finish testing, they rather throw one phone after the other into the market like spring and automne fashion week ...
But the RN10Pro is good all in all.
I have the international version with 256GB and most of MIUI14 actually work fine.
The only real problem to me is the GoogleMaps error. The compass functionality of google maps no longer working since MIUI14. When i calibrate (with "live view") the compass works for about 40 seconds then stops again. Reported this multiple times to Google AND Xiaomi (via the feedback hub) no answer yet. Unfortunately as a white-stick-operator (visually impaired, almost blind) i rely on google maps often giving me directions as pedestrian and it is anoying that the map no longer points into the direction of heading. The xiaomi compass app hence works fine, so do other apps. it is some API or misconfiguration between some google framework and xiaomi... please anyone else having this problem, do report it.
Apart from that actually i am satisfied. (using one SIM card currently and no SD card as SD cards frequently went bad on me).
Battery life is actually good, VoLTE and VoWiFi work fine, the camera(s) work well, network is good, apps are snappy, RAM management appears to be slightly better. not too many complaints overall. Think it is a good phone.

this is a semi-finished product, miui 14 destroyed this phone, the battery is bad, it doesn't hold applications at all in ram memory. run away from xiaomi as far as possible...

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2023NoNo the RN10Pro does not support 5G.
However it "properly" supports 4G or "LTE+" as which it is sometimes marketed and it does also support the 800 MHz (Band 20) frequency-band which is important in some european countries e.g. like in mine (Austria).
It also supports well the "voice over WiFi" and "Voice over LTE" standards. Could test this because only a few weeks ago my provider changed this on my SIM card.
Also the IPv6 integration works fine.
To me, all this is more relevant than the simple term "5G".
Like 4G or LTE, 5G is a general term and supports lots and lots of protocols, modulations etc. And if something says "i am 5G compatible" it does not mean an awful lot. It's like television sets having an RJ45 jac, and saying "network compatible" and when you connect a cable to it, there isn't much you can do with the "network" because so much stuff is missing.
What i am trying to say.............. i think in most countries 5G for private people is not really necessary right now. Many countries (including Austria) are just finishing to implement VoLTE, VoWiFi (and IPv6) right now, which all has been standardized many many years ago. So don't be too blinded by the letter-combination "5G" ... at least my opinion here.

After updating to Miui 14 now the night mode in Camera doesn't work it takes same pics like normal mode in night previously in miui 13 it was working fine

I'm very happy with this device got it 3 days ago and battery life is amazing...I'm patiently waiting to get my bootloader unlocked next week to flash a custom rom like miuimind as stock miui is usually laggy with bad ram management

After installing the MIUI 14.0.1 update, the phone performs noticeably snappier, but runs a bit hot at times. NB I have never experienced this issue before, and I'm not a heavy user.

What I suggested you to do is go to the physical store and purchase the phone there and avoid buying things like this online. The phone probably get damaged from day 1 of it's shipping process and only showing symptoms after a while. Also since it's MIUI you probably gonna be a lot safer to leave it on Android 11 because once you go further than that, you only gonna make the situation worse and I also face that issue. This is my first and last Xiaomi phone and I don't think Xiaomi would treat it's midrange sub brand like it's high-end flagship catagory like what Samsung does with their A series. Idk just speaking from experience and I'm open to others opinion about this.

After a year and a half of using this phone, The only thing I could say is that it's actually fine. Battery is still lasting very long (6-7 hours s.o.t) and I'm on 120 Hz all the time which is impressive. No problems with the hardware, the camera is still phenomenon for it's price and all and all, it's just good. As for the performance, it's actually still pretty good and even better than the Redmi note 11 pro and redmi note 12 the predecessor of this model. I'm playing PUBG mobile in smooth extreme configuration by using gfx and it's totally fine though they were some frame drops all the time but hey, better than smooth ultra. I play MLBB at hd/60 fps and it's smooth. I'm currently still running android 12 (MIUI 13) because I still haven't received any software update and the only problem that I hate to face is the software. Laggy UI and buggy transitions, sometimes the control centre disappear when gaming and some apps doesn't support floating window. Too many bloatware (removable tho) and sometimes apps crashing and some random heating when I'm on browsing apps. This are all an easy fix for the software team but they only focus on releasing new features and completely ignoring performance issue and the bugs. I don't think MIUI 14 is gonna fix this issue and that it only going to bring more problems so yeah. I'll probably going to be using this phone until it's over because it's not that bad actually. What about you guys?

xiaomi customer service too slow to get us answer about the problem of camera shutdown & won't turn on even charging after the update. what happen xiaomi? give us answer, solution or support, etc. about the problem.

Should I do a battery replacement or just trade this phone for a new one? If a battery replacement is better, does it have any problems like bootloop or ghost touch?
