Nathbillionz, 25 Sep 2022I've not updated mine ever since I bought it, now it&#... moreI just updated without thinking about it too much, so I really can't advise anything. In terms of battery draining, for me it is just as same as it was before I updated.
Also, I didn't do the factory wipe/reset when I updated from MIUI 12.5 (Android 11) to MIUI 13 (Android 12). Everything seems fine to me, except the front camera thing I discussed in the previous comments.

But do a backup of files first either via cloud or sdcard & remove locks/logout accounts first before upgrading.

Why isn't this phone recommended anymore? It's one of the best offers today. Other companies keep releasing phones that can't compare to this one. The Redmi Note 10 pro is an Overall Amazing value.

Now using note 10 pro global.no issue till now.......

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2022So it has been happening since miui12 or out of the box bra... moreAs far as I can remember, the camera thing appeared first when I was using Google Teams for online classes. When that happened, I thought it was the app's problem so I just accept it and deal with it. However though, it started to happen with other apps, (i.e Zoom, Facebook Messenger, LINE, Whatsapp, Instagram) so... from that I just have no idea why it is happening.
When MIUI 12.5 came, I thought this would fix it, and you know what? It did, but just temporally. The issue disappeared for the first two or three weeks then it just came back, though far less often than it was on 12.
When I got MIUI 13, the problem was unchanged. It still occurs as often as it was on MIUI 12.5.
From all of that, I pretty much out of idea of what to do, but one thing that bugs me is that this problem never occur when I was using the camera app. Not a single time.
Thank you for the information and the suggestion about custom ROMs, I'll consider looking into using Xiaomi.eu custom ROMs after I (eventually) back up all of my stuff in my internal storage. If the camera issue still persist, then I might just be unlucky and got a faulty camera, as I never, ever drop this phone since I bought it.

Yes, the issue happened w... moreSo it has been happening since miui12 or out of the box brand new? Probably some loose internal cables, im not sure but 3rd party apps use the cam differently than stock like it always use the cam on its possible high resolution constantly to make image clear to the viewer or some other variables as it uses its own algorithm.
About custom roms or bootloader unlock, there are many guides online & even official on Xiaomi eu on unlocking bootloader & installing TWRP, so the likely of bricking the device is low specially on Snapdragons as it is officially supported by LineageOS/many custom rom developers unlike MediaTek. Its even more easier than the like of Samsung that have crappy knox(permanently tripped & devalues phone) & locked downgrade capability while you can downgrade on Xiaomi if the latest firmware is buggy. Thats why Xiaomi is one of the most goto phones in terms of custom roms, there is also Lenovo/Motorola to consider, HTC but less common, Sony aswell albeit more expensive, Nokia/Huawei/Honor/LG is dead as they now removed official unlock bootloader capability from their website. TCL/Vivo/Oppo never supported unlock bootloader so they arent recommended for custom roms.
Eitherway bricking only happens if you dont follow the guides properly & rarely happens on Snapdragon unlike Mediateks.
I suggest to try the Xiaomi eu custom rom as its one of the officially recognized by xiaomi besides their stock miui that fully supports Note 10 Pro & has much better optimization than stock. Or other custom rom like Offical LineageOS on xda. If the camera still bugs out on them then it is hardware issue, the phone probably got dropped accidentally that maybe loosened some parts internally.

Yes, the issue happened when I was on MIUI 12 or 12.5.
I would like to try custom rom, but I can't get over the nerves of accidentally bricking the phone yet.
As for hardware, it is possible that it is the culprit, but it always worked fine when I use the stock camera app.

Is the bootloader unlocked? Did that issue happen on MIUI12 if not downgrade to MIUI12 or go custom rom.
Or it could be hardware problem.

Issues arent really that prevalent on Global China made phones. Dunno about EU if they are also Made in India.
