In due time, more and more devices will have the SD card slot removed. You either adapt or get something that still uses it. What will you do if in 2028 there are no phones with a SD slot anymore?
OTG is still a thing, so you can just plug a USB-C flash drive and backup your stuff regularly (something you should do even with an SD card inside the phone anyways, if you value your data so much). Not as convenient but it is an option.

notafanboy, 30 Sep 2023Because it's time to move on.To move on to what exactly?
SD card is crucial for me. Using SD card not for apps data but for taking pictures and videos, like 1tb SD card is what I use. As a person who uses a lot of space with taking videos, I'm not gonna pay huge money for cloud storage every month. And the internal phone storage is useless for pics and vids - if the phone dies everythig dies, but with SD card if the phone dies I can take the card out. Internal storage is just good enough for installing apps. Apps data is not so much of a problem, most apps have user data saved on their platform/cloud. At the moment, any other option instead of the SD is just a hustle for people who need it. I understand not providing 3.5mm jack anymore as there is usbc adaptors today for anyone who wants that. But it doesn't take much to provide a hybrid slot for SD card. Sorry, but I don't see any excuse for that from the company's end

The review claims that "the system uses 120Hz for the phone's UI and most apps (games included), at least while the user is interacting with the display or there is motion on screen. Then, once it sees a static picture for a couple of seconds, the system drops the refresh rate down to 60Hz to save power."

However this is not the case on mine. If I leave it on default refresh rate behavior it seems to be static at 120hz unless I open YouTube or something like that who plays video. But if I stop interacting with the screen or I watch pictures for a while it doesn't scale down to 60hz to save a but of power. Is anyone else having this issue?

Finally, after a few days of worrying about the temperature of the phone, I found the reason for the increase in temperature.

The normal temperature in standby mode is between 33c and 35c.
If the screen is turned on for about 5 minutes, the temperature rises by about 8 degrees and the battery temperature reaches 39. , 40 degrees and CPU temperature also reaches 44, 45 degrees

Phone: Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G Now the question is, Is this temperature range normal?

Because even with the silicone back cover provided by Xiaomi, you can feel the heat of the phone in your hand. Is the abnormal temperature a criterion for the OverHeating error of the phone, or should we not let it get there and take it in for warranty?

Why does Xiaomi remove the expandable storage option on the 5G version?? That's the only thing that pushes me to buy the 4G instead of the 5G
