The 200mp camera is good but not practical, how often would one use that to take photos?
Either x5pro or x6 from poco is better choice.

Companies can tell you about their OS update policy but they don't tell you an exact "timeline". They may get up to Android 20 - but how fast will it actually get it? They say it will receive security updates for 5 years - but is it monthly or quarterly updates? Those are million dollar qustions that are never addressed by companies because they give us ambiguous plans.
My only concern with a Xiaomi product are the ads, plenty of bloatware (which you can uninstall most but not all) and reports of spywares/malwares pre-installed as being a chinese phone.
Any thoughts?

As for longevity, the Note 13 Pro should be getting OS updates until Android 16, and security updates until 2028. The Moto G84 will only be getting OS updates up to Android 15 and security updates until 2026. So the Redmi wins in longevity.

I'm slowly gearing towards the Redmi Note 13 pro 5G in terms of the cameras.
But i'm also tempted by the now cheaper Moto G84 which as more RAM (12GB) and a slightly more compact body. The Redmi seemingly trumps the G84 with overall better/newer chipset which may in turn translate to better photos possibly due to a better ISP?
What do you think?

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2024For the main camera, Redmi Note 13 Pro wins by a long shot.... moreYep. The main camera on Note 13 Pro is superior to the one on Poco X6 because the 200MP sensor on the 13 Pro is 1/1.4" while the X6 is 1/2.0".
That is a massive difference in sensor surface area. In general, bigger the surface area, more light could be captured.

Gino76ph, 11 Jul 2024Understood.
But if we were to compare cameras and everyday... moreFor the main camera, Redmi Note 13 Pro wins by a long shot. You get far better details and more accurate colors, especially in low-light. I think it's one of the better main cameras I've tested for a phone at this price point, better than the Galaxy A55 even. However, it can be under-exposed and dark at times, and video stabilization still needs work.
For the ultrawide, macro, and selfie cameras, both phones take nearly identical shots because they share the same hardware.
Performance-wise, both phones are also identical since they share the same processor - Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
In my country at least, the Redmi is about $44 more expensive than the Poco. So if camera quality is a priority for you, go for the Redmi. If not, go for the Poco; you"ll get a near-identical experience to the Redmi for less money.

I love the phone, the only negative I can see is that the Victus glass is more prone to scratches than the phones I've had over the last 10 years. I would definitely buy it again.

Gino76ph, 08 Jul 2024I've seen the specs and some reviews of the CMF phone ... moreBoth the Moto G84 and Note 13 Pro are not comparable because the Moto is cheaper. But if the price gap isn't too different, Redmi wins over Moto by a long shot:
- Better display with higher resolution (1220p vs 1080p on G84) and Dolby Vision support
- Gorilla Glass Victus protection
- Much faster processor (Roughly 40% faster than the G84)
- Better overall camera quality, especially for low light
- 4K video recording (G84 is limited to just 1080p)
- Infrared blaster, which can make your phone a universal remote
- Faster charging (67W vs 30W on G84)
However, the Moto G84 does have more RAM for the base model, a microSD slot, and slightly better battery life.
