Hi, I got this phone for Christmas and have spent days trawling the Internet for help. I have plusnet UK SIM card -all calls , texts are working fine, as is wifi , but data connection has worked once. I have tried my sim in another phone and it works fine. I have done factory resets , changed APN, airplane mode etc. My network provider has come to the conclusion the problem lies with the handset.
I have emailed xaoimi and await their response. I also messaged geek buying in china (from where it was purchased) to see if they could help. I await their response also.
Please if anyone here has any knowledge of this problem I would be eternally grateful for some advice. Thanks

Jed, 05 Jan 2017just bought this phone in the Philippines. i have difficult... moretry factory reset setting.hope resetting your handset may help you good luck.

Usually they add the stock on wednesday & thursday at 3:00 pm

I just updated into MM then i found the most EXTREME BUG that China going to steal our Information..
I try ping into www.google.com and it's show a weird ip that actually not a google ip.
2404:6800:4001:808:2004 (China Location)
actual ip should be like this
216.58.197.100

I got the redmi note 3 the snapdragon version I upgraded it to mui8 but it's still on Android 5 after updating any Android 6 for this phone
