I got the redmi note 3 the snapdragon version I upgraded it to mui8 but it's still on Android 5 after updating any Android 6 for this phone

Hi, I got this phone for Christmas and have spent days trawling the Internet for help. I have plusnet UK SIM card -all calls , texts are working fine, as is wifi , but data connection has worked once. I have tried my sim in another phone and it works fine. I have done factory resets , changed APN, airplane mode etc. My network provider has come to the conclusion the problem lies with the handset.
I have emailed xaoimi and await their response. I also messaged geek buying in china (from where it was purchased) to see if they could help. I await their response also.
Please if anyone here has any knowledge of this problem I would be eternally grateful for some advice. Thanks

i hve redmee note 3, i update my phone bt aftr updating it my phne specker is nt working m nt able to attend any call or to listen music.. phne can only be attended with the hlp of headphne wht shld i do to over come dat prblm....

It all depends on ur luck how ur phone falls on the ground and the impact the screen had..
It is always wise to use screen guard to protect our phone..

Really wonderful mobile and budget everything is working awesome and one more thing the best of fingerprint and there is a second space it's really help too me because my business files hidden by second space even my friends and family members can't see

Drawbacks.
: heating problem.
Already on my view 7to8 friends have booked this mobile by seeing it.i love this mobile .i never expected,this phone give this much of satisfaction .
