After updating 8.5.1.0 on my Redmi Note 3 its became over heat after 30 minute browsing internet, the temperature reached more than 40 degree celcius its never happen before even I used to browsed more than 2 hours. Then again after updating 8.5.2.0 its happen again. I using Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon global versions(Kenzo).

I bought my phone last year June. Now for the past 2 days I have a strange problem. The phone was not charging when plugged, I tried different chargers. But it was charging when turned off or restarted when connected to the charger

Dont unlock bootloader or root your device else warranty will be void. You can flash any rom and your warranty will be intact. But be carefull, since you are on lollipop rom and if you flash marshmallow rom, you wont be able to revert back to lollipop rom. You will then be able to only flash any marshmallo based miui rom over that.
In simple words, there is no harm in flashing 8.2.4 rom. But i will prefer 8.1.1 version or 8.5.x roms cuz 8.2.4 version had battery problem.

Im stuck at miui 8.0.1.0 rom, no updates available when check. Why is that? please help. Search every where, but couldn't find solution. Do I have to flash the ROM? Why OTA not available? If I flash the ROM and install the MIUI 8.2.4.0 globle stable ROM, will my device consider as rooted device?? I have snapdragon edition and I live in srilanka.

Again my phone does not turn ON after updating 8.5.3.This has happened before also while updating phone get stuck in ROM mode.Mi updates are not at all reliable.I don't know why they release updates with Bugs.Again i have to go to the service center and wait in a long Queue to get this done. Worst experience with MI.

Updated my Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon (32 GB ROM) to MIUI V8.5.3.0 MHOMIED Stable last night. Here are the changes I've noticed -
1. Music Player Interface Changed. The previous interface looked much better.
2. Data Usage in Security App interface changed.
3. Most of the icons have white frame now which looks quite ugly.
4. Android Security Patch updated to June 2017.
5. User Interface seems to be more smooth now.
Bugs -
1. USB OTG even if connected is not showing in file manager all the time.
2. MKV Video Playback is still laggy.
3. Jio 4G internet speed has gone down now.
4. In Prefer LTE Mode (On Airtel SIM), the network automatically switches to 3G or 2G.
Will update about battery backup and heating after a few days of usage.

Just updated my RMN3 with Miui 8.5.2.0 version ( 34 MB) , after Re-boot, i found 2GB ram free out of 3GB. Lets watch for day ahead. Hope the update is really OPTIMIZER.

sandip, 29 Jun 2017when i put mobile data on or off every time a notification ... moreGo to settings>additional settings>language and input>text-to-speech output> click on settings icon near google text to speech engine> install voice data> english(India)> click on cross button to stop downloading and then again click on download button. It will start downloading and once done, it will not bother you again.

I didn't get the MIUI V8.5.1.0 update as this update was suspended after release for unknown reasons.. Now there's new MIUI V8.5.3.0 MHOMIED Stable update (234 MB) having a long list of changelog. Battery is low right now, I will update tomorrow and post back the changes in the update.

Miui 8.5.2 out now with june security patch...Phone is really fast and responsive now. It has fixed the internal storage problem that miui 8.5.1 brought alongwith. Miui 8.5.1 was known to reduce the internal storage available in the phone. Also it lagged the phone. Thankfully all that is fixed. All in all a nice update.

miui 8.5.1.0 problem with music player. if u play a music one song in the folder u can't stop. iT always on in notification and white loading when open n can't stop.

Updating MIUI 8.5.1.0 MHOMIED stable on 27.6.2017 not facing any problem until today, when I browsing internet using simcard broadband my RN3 in 30 minutes its become overheat, the phone temperature exceed 40 degree celcius. I not feel the heat because I used thick casing only realized the phone overheat when the warning appear on the screen then on the spot I shut down the phone. Before this the highest temperature my RN3 reached is 38 degree celcius. Hope Xiaomi will fixed this problem as soon as possible.
