It's a good set. Sadly no external sd card slot is the tragedy of the phone.

The global ROM don't has such issue.
But Redmi Note 3 currently only exclusive to China, so only has China ROM.
I can tell you, Global ROM is much better on the Redmi Note 2, which has the similar processor.

I just bought today a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. I had some doubts before buying this phone but the quy from the shop told me that it's a decent phone. I had before Samsung Galaxy 4 but because of reiterative lags and also because I dropped my phone and the screen was destroyed I decided to change my phone. I wanted something useful and with a good price before buying a new generation phone that will be released this summer.
The phone looks pretty good, good image, only few applications, but from a budget phone, let's say it's ok.
My unpleasant surprise was when I wanted to open a web page, it's horrible, the browser is the worst I ever saw, it goes very very slow and the web page is not properly loaded. Like on a Pentium 2, as a comparison. It doesn't work on the mobile mode or in the desktop mode - for the web pages. I was really disappointed, I did't expect from a 2015 phone to work like that. I tried also to download the Chrome browser from the play store, it didn't work, I pressed the install button but for minutes nothing happened, it didn't open. The same with any other application. And I was connected at my WI-FI, very strong connection. Nothing. Very, very disappointed, I'll give back this horrible "smart"phone and I'll try to buy something much more better. And from now on I'll never buy this kind of "budget" phones, with pretty decent look but horrible inside.

both have same memory
but asus has a removeable battry
and redmi note 3 has 4000mAh and better camera (f2.2) and stronger CPU.
help me to choose.
both have almost same price.

Still no expandable memory , no gorilla glass protection,no NFC and they are using hexacore processor instead of octacore ! And why the hell they are delaying launch in india ? If they will not launch this by the end of January then sadly i have to go with letv le 1s ...
