I have purchased Redmi note 4 on 2017 and its still working well, but am facing ghost touch issue. How can I fix this?

This phone is the best ever Xiaomi has produced.
Still working as new till thus moment, had to install custom Miui 13 because of apps support, and still working better than brand new devices

its been 6 years still im using rarely hangs, only issue is that some apps are not supported only because of this I'm changing it now. Other than its best, build quality is the top-notch

I've had it for 6 years, it still gets some app updates, the battery drains a bit faster even when it's turned off because I'm actively using the POCO F2 pro and I just turn it on and charge the battery.
Has anyone installed another OS on it to make it perhaps faster and what is the procedure for doing it? I need a link to a page with instructions.
Redmi is original, so the block has not been removed and what should I do?

It is been 6 years I got it. Battery is not great but is still workable. It freezes very rare I guess I have too many apps on it. The 3GB RAM is almost full most of the time. I like this phone.

I used the phone for a few months after my brother retired it for a poco m4 pro, installed android 12 but the apps just keep refreshing in the background (had the 3/32) so i just stuck with Arrow OS Android 10 which maintained many apps in the background just with laggy animations. The camera is decent but nothing special, the speakers worked but its not good. For a 6 year old budget phone it is acceptable and i kind of enjoyed using it like how it survived 5 years with my brother. Now its used by someone else but its still working fine for daily use as the battery holds up well

Still kicks ass for normal day usage even after 5 years.

I am... moreSame here. Bought my redmi note 4 back in 2017. After 1 year the vibration stopped working and therefore I bought my first smartband (mi band) so I don't miss any calls (don't like loud ringtones).
After 3 years the headphone jack said goodbye, but that was kinda my fault since taking it to the gym and placing it weirdly in my pocket...
Changed the battery 2 years ago (less than 10€).
After 5 years I can still say that I'm happy with this device. During the 5 years I also bought: Poco M3, X3 NFC, Samsung M31 but none of them could replace the note 4 (too big, too heavy....) So I returned them.
As a backup device just in case the redmi stops working I bought a used Sony Xz1 compact.

Imho, the first 5-6 months Redmi note 4 was ideal smartphone. Later started often too hot, longer battery charging. Finally it stopped charging. So I sold it after over 6 months. I wasn't happy with this smartphone.

One of the best phone by xiaomi. Still using this bad boy as my secondary phone. Can't believe that battery is still holding up.

This is very good phone beating double priced Samsung and OnePlus in features and performance. Decent sized for one hand use. Tough, I dropped 20-25 times (medium hard case + Tempered glass on) it gave no issues. I only had to sell it for one most needed feature for me that is Alexa and Ok Google work on locked screen/display off which Redmi Note 9 Pro Max offered and is my new phone.
