AnonD-634247, 17 Jan 2017Did you update through wifi? There really is no difference between updating through wifi or taking it from http://en.miui.com/download.html these are the same files. If I remember correctly I downloaded the file from miui download because it was first day of 8.1.4 and was taking very long through wifi.
PS.I see that they deleted it from miui download so they had to find some major bug ;) Wait couple of days for new release probably 8.1.5 or 8.1.6

AnonD-634150, 17 Jan 2017what about this vs the snapdragon rn3? I think its about the same with RN4 being a lot better looking device and a lot slimmer. You would think that 0.4mm is nothing and you would be wrong. RN4 feels like a glove to your hand and RN3 feels a little too thick.

AnonD-630294, 17 Jan 2017Did the latest global rom fix the battery drain issues that... moreStandby time on 8.1.4 global (I didn't use 8.0.4 because phone was lying around waiting for me to transfer everything and by the time i did it last update was available so I updated and factory reset the phone to avoid files from previous versions causing some issues) has almost no drain for me. After first night I had 0.3% drain per hour which reminded me of my windows phone. No android phone I had to date had so low standby battery usage.

8 weeks now with RedMi Note 4 Pro. Battery performance is pretty decent.
So far it has been pretty solid, consitent operation, very few minor glitches.
Camera is disapointing, specially in low light conditions, this is something that Xiaomi should definitly try to improve in the next ROM updates.
Overall a very solid performer, camera performance stops it from beeing an excellent smartphone.

Build quality is awesome so much better that RN3 and RN4 a lot thinner. Battery is amazing on 8.1.4 global I get almost twice the battery life of RN3 MTK (china stable with GA installed). Performance after changing from RN3 MTK to RN4 is noticeable. For what I paid this is best bang for your buck you can get. I was happy with my RN3 MTK but RN4 is even better than I expected.
