I believe Redmi 5 Plus will be rebranding and launch as Redmi Note 5 in India this year probably on February or March. Why I believe this would happen because till now on the middle of January 2018 there are no leaks or rumors about RN5 specs. Till now we dont know what type of chipset it will use, what type of camera it will use, what the aspect ratio, how many RAM and ROM, and etc. The above specs almost same with Redmi 5 Plus specs.

after years of redmi note 3, almost all the rumours about the note series were bluffs. i don't say they were lying, but keep your expectations low guys. untrue stories are always exaggerated especially at the cpu side. I really love redmi note 3, but things actually have to be improved, if you understand what i am saying.

Any chipset below Snapdragon 660 is just Unacceptable considering the forever and ever Wait. I would appreciate Xiaomi cancelling the Redmi Note 5 if it won't be powered by the Snapdragon 660. All the other midrange Chips are basically weaker than the Snapdragon 650 except for the 652, 653, 660 & 670 which means they are all inferior to the Redmi Note 3 with Snapdragon 650. I just don't CARE about the new Snapdragon 632, 636 or even 640 or whatever. Numbers Don't Lie.
