francisloves, 01 Feb 2019Hello. Are you really serious? Are you sure you own Pro M2 ... moreBattery-wise, M2 will have better battery life at least 15% than Redmi Note 7 (if you look at battery comparison M2 vs Redmi Note 6 Pro which use Octacore Kryo 260 at 1.8GHz ). Since Note 7 uses 4 cores at 2.2GHz & 4 cores at 1.8GHz (other things about the same), you could expect Redmi Note 7 will drain a bit more. So, M2 will be about 20% more battery than Note 7

Well if we compare Snapdragon 845 with Snapdragon 675 the strength of graphic card is superior in 845 but CPU strength is equal almost Antutu scores shows 81000 CPU score on Snapdragon 675 while on 845 it is showing 91000 so what it means the difference of total and anTutu relies only on graphic card otherwise strength is equal

Anonymous, 01 Feb 2019Thank you! And yes, I did.
And I see. In that case, note... moreThanks much. I will reconsider.
You know what, what I originally planned is to buy a good Xiaomi phone that I could root and flash a custom ROM. I am a fan of Resurrection Remix and Extended AOSP. But I only did a little research and ended up buying Redmi S2. S2 is a good phone but rooting it is hard now. Worse, S2 is only 32 bit OS which will not be supported by Google this August 2019. :( Flashing a custom ROM has so many procedures which take a lot of time because Xiaomi nows purposely put a heavy stress on hackers by making their phones get an unlocked bootloader after some days!
Here in Lazada in the Philippines many Xiaomi phones are being sold with *unlocked bootloader* - and with tampered ROM. And some buyers are aware of it and they love it!
So maybe my best choice is to buy Mi A2 if I want to flash a custom ROM, because it is Android One.

I would like to buy Note 7 but I am concerned about the Battery... Maybe it won't last that long. What about the battery in Pro M2? Is it very good?
The only downside is that Note 7 has no dedicated micro SD card slot.
Look at the comment about Anonymous's reply to my message, he says Pro M2 is good.

Abass, 01 Feb 2019I own j7 pro which doesn't support high end gaming ....shou... moreYup! And if gaming is your priority, also consider Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2. It gives better performance & battery in PUBG.
Exynos 7870 is quite weak if you want to play games on high graphics. 8890 & above are good.
SD 660, 710, 835 & above are all good. (820/21 have issues & I'm not sure about 670). Few 636 phones can also handle heavy graphics, like Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Kirin 960 & above are good.
Helio P60 is good. Don't know much about other Huawei chipsets, so can't suggest others.

francisloves, 31 Jan 2019Wow! What a nice detailed observations!
Did you do all t... moreThank you! And yes, I did.
And I see. In that case, note 7 might be better for you. Its battery life is lesser but it's still more than enough given you get a decent camera and the performance is nice for the price. Only thing I worry about with note 7 is its reliability... Xiaomi has a bad reputation because their phones go dead, develop screen/battery/heating issues randomly and the customer support doesn't help. Most of their phone reviews are full of such complaints, but some are reliable.
And they weren't a lot better in gaming. M1 was about equal while M2 was better. They were, however, significantly better in battery. Note 7 has fhd screen but M1 & M2 display screens are already complimented enough. So 4.5-5 hour battery in PUBG which is same (or even less) as 3000 mAh battery phones like Nokia 8 doesn't sound nice.
M1 had a battery problem when it was new but it was resolved. Asus is good. It's just that M1/M2 Pie update was delayed that they get some hate. Sadly, having latest OS or updates is more important to most users than actual performance of the phone. As long as the phone works fine, I don't even like to update my phones - especially for features that I'm not gonna use. I've a phone I haven't updated in 4 years and it still works fine lol, so seeing MIUI is always a turn off, especially since it shows Ads, lowers performance, battery and may bring bugs. I mean... What's the difference to you when scrolling on Facebook is same on both Pie and Jelly Bean?
Other than that, M1 & M2 OS is Stock Android. Stock Android aim is to keep the Android OS as it's meant to be, which results in the benefits I mentioned earlier + Stability. If you go on XDA and ask for stable OS, the top suggestion will be to flash Stock Android.
But I've come to realise that some users see it as a flaw. For example, one guy was furious because M1 or M2 didn't have bloatwares (other than necessary ones). And a friend of mine didn't like Nokia 8 (which I love) because he had to make it show battery %.
So as far as bugs/stability is concerned, there's nothing to worry about. 2 of my friends bought Max Pro M2 and they're happy with it. They play PUBG for 4+ hours a day on HD graphics, High frame rate.
So do be careful about fake reviews. Actually, Zenfone Max Pro M1/M2/Note 7 were released in competition to each other so Xiaomi fan base absolutely hates those phones xD As far as I'm concerned, I like that Asus configures their Kernel for heavy foreground processes (like gaming) which makes Asus likeable to me. But other than that, I wasn't interested in buying/recommending Asus phones before these two. I buy the phones I find best, root em and configure their Kernel to suit my usage so I didn't need Asus but a quality phone that can last + value for money.
