Using Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro
Have my bank app and also PhonePE / GPay apps.
When trying to link bank account and PhonePE/GPay - it says "Failed to initiate sending SMS"
Got so many suggestion on the net and fulfilled everything like\
- keeping enough balance to meet charges
- Switched off and Switched on
- Checked and ensured mobile number registered with Bank and PhonePE both are same
- Checked Network and tried when signals are very strong.
- Checked and ensured necessary permissions to send SMS for both Bank and PhonePE app
- Sent trial SMS to different numbers and found perfectly sending and reaching
- Cleared all Cache and other unwanted data
Then sent message to Redmi Support on Twitter and they have suggested to register the grievance here.
Shall I get the problem resolved.

yes it supports the otg connection. what you have to do is go to settings and otg and then you have to on the otg connection by this you can access the otg feature.

Bought this phone at 7000 rupees after exchanging my old Redmi 4. This was back in January 2020 when govt of India hadn't increased gst & thereby price of phones etc. The display is full hd which is pretty rare for phones under 10000rs these days. The camera quality is still great for a budget phone even today. I can play pubg and cod at 40fps although there's a few stutters and lags. The build quality is amazing and day to day performance is really good. There are a few cons tho. The signal reception is weaker compared to even cheaper realme phones. The Ram management is absolutely terrible but sometimes it works fine. Also there are countless bugs in the MIUI that keeps irritating me. But overall a great phone for the price!

Gopy, 17 Mar 2021I facing same problem in my Redmi note 7 pro... Mainly GPS....😠Also the phone's network seems to suffer a lot lately.Getting reduced mobile network for calls/mobile data.Sound from ear piece during calls has reduced,and so has the loudspeaker volume while watching multi media.
