I can confirm Redmi Note 8 Android 10 update will roll out next week (aka January 2021), but I can't confirm whether if it's OTA or not as the Xiaomi staff gave me limited information. Stay tuned for more updates

I've got this phone for the 2nd time now. i sold the first one after 1 month of using it. And after a few months now i bought a 2nd RN8 :D
Why? Because its price is cheaper now compared to my 1st unit. For its spec and everything it's really worth buying.
I feel my 2nd RN8 is better than my 1st one. I am not sure about the software or hardware that makes the difference but overall it's a very good phone for a daily casual and regular to heavy user like myself.

Got this phone at $80 last 12/12 and bought extra 18w charger, 10w charger that comes in the box is way too slow. Still decent for a 6.3" device but 64gb variant is not that enough since I use second space and play high gigs of games. Wished I took the 128gb variant but its rare to find now.
I'm from redmi note 9 pro but ended up selling it. Hope xioami make a phone that is 6.3"inch or below at this price range to make it atlease compact, 6.5"++ phones feels like it will shatter in my pocket lol. MiSE variant is good but lacking of headphone jack is a big deal for me.

This phone is still best in its price segment these days. Most of phones offer bad cameras and 720p and less brightness nits in same price category. I purchased this phone on Monday and really loved this device.

Aadi, 24 Dec 2020I am thinking to buy new mid range phone, I have bad experi... moreNote 7 & 8 are almost the same , 9 is much bigger and powerful battery.
If you are just an ordinary or casual user i would recommend you redmi 7 or redmi note 7 instead if you manage to get 1.
The 4/64gb ver. of redmi 7 is an awesome phone!

Mario, 20 Dec 2020Is redmi note 8 better than redmi 9 ?I think so, I've seen comparison videos, and the Note 8 is better in performance, boot and benchmarks, but also the Note 9 is better in terms of battery.

pane, 20 Dec 2020 I agree with you . I wanted to say that redmi note 8 work... moreYeah, if it works for you then use your old phone. I'm doing the same after this fiasco. I had to look for solutions to problems more than I could enjoy the phone.
