Xiaomi's quality build are very sub-standards. All hardwares are sub-standards except of their gorilla glass. Poor battery lifespan. Yes they offer you high specs for low price but their materials are trash. Can't even long last for 3 years or more if you're unlucky it can only last for 1 and a half year. Cant trust this brand. I will go for huawei, oppo or vivo for china brands instead.

Horrible app management after the recent upgrade. Feels like i have 1gb ram. Switching to another app closes the previous one. They also ended split screen view that I could've used to run two apps simultaneously. Multitasking is almost impossible now

After miui 12,5 update camera is bed and bug in android without apps in ram. Only good thing on rn8 is battery,but battery is worse after miui 12,5 update. I flash it and it works better,faster and camera are excellent. Only to say bad phone with emmc 5.1 for 180e

I have had this Redmi Note 8 since January 2020. Recently, about a month, the external memory started not being recognized and it says wrong SD card; do you want to format it? It's as if it has ruined it. Because I put a new blank one and it did the same after turning the phone off and later on.
I also have issues with Whatsapp; it started not ringing when I receive calls or texts. And it does it intermittently.
The battery is still great.

My RN8 was working perfect for quite some time. However after updating to MIUI it became so slow. Currently I am at 12.0.6.0 Stable. Now it is asking me to upgrade to 12.5.2.0. Please advise shall I update? Will it improve the situation, or its like going from fire to frying pan?

I am using this phone since March 2020 at the start of the Covid pandemic. Still goes find. No overheat. The battery is about 60 % of life. For the price I paid of 180 $ is fine. Gorilla glass 5 in front and back shines. Good phone for the price

I have been using this since 2020 Febuary and it works fine wihtout any issue. With MIUI 12 I see that battery drains than MIUI 10 But, when compared to other androids it still holds up well. Only issue I recently got is,even though I'm careful with the phone and the button is physically fine & clicks.Sometimes power button suddenly becomes like a side mounted fingerprint and work on a small tap or touch. It comes and goes time to time. No any other issue with my one.

I have this phone 2 years , if your phone works fine dont upadte if you update , when your phone turns on dont use it ,immediately restart it then it will be fine if not , hard reset then the same , and its good to press optimiziation (swipe right in homesrceen in shortcuts find it) it workes perfect.
