this phones overall is greeeaaaaaat but with those much feature come some problem.
1. sometimes it has delay to open the screenlock, either with fingerprint or lock button
2. sometimes the internet connection have to restart while using game booster for playing games, altho that game booster is really really f-in useful to play games, almost like dual graphic in amd radeon.
it happen when u update to miui 11, so i thought it has some bug in that system. also miui 11 ate a bit more ram. and the battery is great, but if u want to stay longer, i suggest go for note 8 pro or something else like samsung m20/m30 which has >4000mAh capacity.
the most great thing is, the camera. it is unbelieveable!!!!

well it may be an application or game that you have installed that has requested approval for wi fi and mobile data control,
so try restarting your phone and if it doesn't help then you should do a reset all settings, because it resets all settings included and wi fi.

1: It have 4 cameras, 2 more than the Note 7;
2: It's a generation ahead, so more versions of the S.O. will come for the Note 8.
