I had a nightmare using the A50 so I bought the note 8 as my secondary phone, initially I was also in a delimmma about buying Chinese phones but after using this phone I'm extremely happy.

My downloads speed is very slow but browsing is fine and very fast. I dont know if anyone is experiencing these problem. My wifi is 20mbps and other phones downloads are okay but mine is in 200-500kbs

I switched from a Galaxy A50, which was 100 euros more expensive when I bought it and simply terrible at nearly everything.
If she is used to Samsung you should install a launcher because MIUI doesn't have an app drawer. You should also adjust the colour temperature of the display to warm since it's blue-ish out of the box.
For the price this is the phone to get in my opinion.

I want to buy my mom a new phone, do you recommend Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 or should I stick to Samsung and stay away from Chinese phones? as I heared this phone has network drop problem,, please help me I'm planning to buy the 4GB ram 64GB/128GB storage variant and she will use it only for social apps, browsing, taking photos... not for games and heavy tasks.
