I just bought a used note 8 pro I need to ask while playing HDR videos on YouTube there is no color, contrast or brightness shift like in other phones when playing hdr videos. I just hope the screen is not replaced can any one else confirm this ??

Day 1 experience with MIUI 12.5.5.0
- First thing I observed that UI got more fluid & is going good with Nova Launcher Prime. No stutter or glitches till now.
- Battery performance got better
- Still not able to use MIUI gestures with Nova Prime. It is automatically changing to default MI launcher if I enable gestures. Please let me know is there is any solution for this problem.

does anyone here got the 12.5.5 update? how was it? im using the 12.5.3 & there's a lot of problems like when playing pubg some times while playing mid game, pubg frame drops about 5 to 10fps for about 1 to 2 seconds. hoping this issue is fixed on 12.5.5.. btw im on a 12.5.3 global.

My Redmi note 8 pro is stuck. The side buttons were not functioning properly so I tried restarting the phone and it rebooted to recovery mode (MIUI Recovery 5.0). Now when I reboot to system from there it keeps rebooting me back to the recovery mode. What should I do? My phone is stuck there for an hour now.

After updating MIUI my phone is a complete mess. No more calculator, calendar and compass etc. Many apps missbehave e.g. cant receive whatsapp calls just a message hours later that I had a call, no gmail notifications, cant hide notch any more, wifi hotspot which I use very often disconnetcs many times.... I already performed 2 hard resets, but not any better. The phone is faster only navigating in the menu, otherwise the same (if not worse) than before. All these problems and bugs come from miui. I have an other Xiaomi, which is rooted and has no miui, that works excellent. Never again Xiaomi or other chinese phone.

habeus22, 18 Sep 2021Pleasee let me know if you solved it. I have the SAME issue... morego to phone setting /about phone/ click on miui version click upper right 3 dots and download latest package and install it, done. try this steps, may be solve your issues

Anyway, this MIUI 12 is excellent. especially battery, I set battery saver from MIUI 12 with mobile data and wifi always on. start 100% at 08.00 and it still above 50% at 18.00. So 10 hours only 50%. And if forget to charge and at condition of 10-20%, we can set ultra battery saver it is more efficient than battery saver while we can still chat whatsapp...

For Indonesia region, if you have MIUI version 12.5.2.0, better not to update to 12.5.3 (the latest OTA ROM), I updated it and got stuck bootloop. Fortunately after battery = 0% and I recharge it to full, suddenly it cameback alive. So better wait for latest stable version.

I have this phone for over a year and a half... I will admit that I am very clumsy... And the phone had some serious falls from stairs, from my hands a lot of times and it doesn't even have a scratch. I'm extremely satisfied with all of the cameras it has. I use the micro camera a lot and it's simply amazing. It's really fast and the 64 GB are more than enough for games, social media ect. I can't describe in words how much this phone has suffered and is still working like it's brand new. Congratulations! Amazing price and amazing product. I couldn't be any happier!

I have been using for this phone in three months.
It is still great in overall especially social media/ Mobile legends /pubg. this phone is a little heat when u play games in graphic high setting but it is a normal phone heat. I really love this phone especially its 64mp cam and selfile. I have no problem in 3months. This phone has a little heat issue but overall is good phone.
