I've had this phone for 3 months now and it's honestly a pretty decent phone. I bought it mainly for playing games. And it does that extremely well. It literally never overheated on me. I think they throttled the CPUs performance to avoid overheating with recent updates. The battery use to be amazing but it became just alright after the most recent software update. The camera is bad. Maybe it's just my unit but I don't like taking pictures with it. The screen is nice and I've had zero scratches on it.

Redmi note 8 pro is a beast under 15000 but there are a couple of things you must worry about
1- The battery - The battery optimization is poor Even having a 4500mah battery it doesn't last over a day
          2-The phone overheats while gaming
3-there is a plastic frame which gets easily scrathed
4-the wide angle and macro camera are poor
5-the video recording @1080p is worse

Except the ones when I'm clearing or scanning my phone for viruses / junk files. And they are not long videos, they are just like a photo which doesn't even cover then whole screen, you can just ignore it.

Craddan, 27 Jan 2020It's very annoyingNah. If for example you get an A50 or any other competitor, then you get the exact same thing but on a smaller display which seems more high quality but overall you get a smaller display and poorer cameras, battery and performance.

If a YouTube video isn't looking nice, make sure it was actually uploaded in 1080p first, if so, make sure it's not setting the resolution automatically.

Basically every phone on here has some kind of negative comment or observation, it always seems like it's from the extreme sides as well, such as "never good enough" mindset (annoying tech divas), and "this phone is so slow and the camera sucks and blah blah blah" from the non tech minded types who don't go even a little bit out of their way to take care of their devices and keep them performing properly. So, people stuck in between have to sit here and read a barrage of whiny reviews and remarks from people who either can't be pleased, or are technologically inept. It's a conundrum. :/

Mary, 27 Jan 2020This or samsung A50This is for heavy gaming and make sure you are happy this the size and weight, moderate heating and ads everywhere.

A50 is more like a daily driver and have much better screen quality, better software/warranty/support.

It comes down to personal preference.
