sayabosanhidup, 18 Jan 2020hey guys which one should i buy n looking forward to your ... moreThe Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is the best choice from the three options you mentioned in your post. I don't have it but I am thinking about buying it pretty soon. There are no bad sides about this phone besides that there is no OIS on the selfie camera. I have seen a lot of reviews so I kind of know what I am talking about. For this price, you are getting very good specs, very good cameras and ofc, because of the specs, you get top performance in games. Oh I almost forgot to mention that it has no heating issues, it won't get warmer than 42 degrees Celsius and you have a battery that's gonna last for more than 7-9 hours, depends on how intensive you use your phone. Even while gaming you will lose approximately 20% battery per hour of PUBG Mobile on HD settings and Extreme fps. On max somewhere around 24% battery per hour. So you will be able to game with somewhere around 75-100% brightness at max settings for 4 hours or so. I don't think that you will play in direct sunlight so that the display will go from 500 nits to 660 nits because of the sunny mode (or something like that). You can only go to 500 nits manually but if you use automatic brightness it will go up to a maximum of 660 nits if needed. I hope that this helps. I can help you with more informations if needed, just reply to this comment. Have a nice day / night everyone!

anonymous, 18 Jan 2020Does it get heated after the latest update ? Do you guys ... moreI had the phone for a month now. No signs of slowness or heating. If you're using intensive apps or games. Then you'll notice some heating but it's natural and only at a normal level. Even after the latest update. Would still recommend the phone and xiaomi is still releasing new colors for it like the orange one.

You guys just need to calm down.
I just want to know if this phone is any good and whether anyone recommends buying it.
100 pages of opinions and half of them from people who don't even think about buying the phone and are just against anything else than Samsung, Apple or any other flagship brand.
Not talking about people who dont care about specs. and would buy potato because all they care is AMOLED screen.
For those of you who don't understand - more you spend on components and manufacturing more expensive phone will be and this is the reason why it is not made from aluminum and does not have the fancy screen. Some people just don't care about that stuff.
Have a nice day!

It's almost 2 months since I started using the Forest Green version of 6/128GB variant of my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro & there's hardly anything I can complaint given the price tag. It runs games smoothly & not once has it lagged, MIUI 11 has a lot of customisation & it's one of the best I've used. The battery standby time is extraordinary (2-4 days). I seem to love this phone & Xiaomi always keeps impressing users with great products

Just to supplement my above post.
Lauren Willen has done extensive tests on many Xiaomi phones and phones from other manufacturers. His test results showed that Redmi Note 8 Pro has a GPS accuracy of up to 2m (max error), which is very very good as compared to other phones.

Johnny, 14 Jan 2020Hi guys, is the gps reliable?I use the Here We Go navigation app. So far Note 8 Pro is able to give very accurate guidance, including turn-by-turn guidance in housing estate. In my first use, I put the Mi 8 Lite side-by-side and both gave same guidance and correction (I went off course many times to test the speed of rerouting) within a one second interval.
But I have to caution you on the followings:
1. During my first enabling of GPS, it took about 10 minutes to lock onto satellites. Subsequent uses were however instantaneous.
2. As a navigation unit, the Note 8 Pro is not suitable for use in the landscape orientation. It shows the junction / roundabout only 50m before reaching them. For roundabout, while the voice command will tell you to take the 2nd exit, the driver will not know beforehand whether 2nd exit refers to left, straight ahead or right. When the map shows it 50m before reaching the roundabout, it is too late for the driver to change lane. (I use Redmi Note 4X as navigation unit. Its screen is 16:9 ratio and can show junction and roundabout well ahead. For Mi 8 Lite, I only use it in portrait orientation.)

james, 02 Jan 2020Any body have the hotspot issue , when you enable hotspot ... moreI recently used it as hotspot for 5 continuous days for simultaneous connection of up to 4 devices (2 x Mi, 1 x Samsung and 1 x Apple). All connections were easy and smooth (all devices could detect my WiFi). All reconnection were automatic (I disable "turn off hotspot automatically" ). All 4 devices could access Internet at the same time.

So I've had this beauty for 6 days now and so far so good. This is my first foray into the xiaomi universe, using MIUI and I'm kinda digging the overall experience so far. (in spite of what I'd read ol prior to purchase)
I've installed asphalt 9 , F1, and COD so far and they all run as advertised without any issues.
My connectivity experience so far has been equally positive. Although I will be closely monitoring this for the foreseeable future and will update as I go.
Also the camera on this thing takes stunning shots.
So I guess you could say that I'm very happy with my decision so far.
