I am planning to buy this phone but saw you guys suggesting Realme 5
I'm just planning to have this as my temporary phone till Snapdragon 865 goes out

And the smartphone died because of Nand storage, not soc...
I used mt6577 (I bought this one in 2012 and it still works even if I don't use it anymore), mt6592 (used during 1.5 years, I must admit I don't know what it became after that), mt6752 (out of order, used by me during 1.5years and give to my mother for 1.5years more), X20 (3.5years old, still used by my nephew)...
Now I use :
- Helio P60 for 14 months (smartphone).
- mt8176 for around 2 years (pad)
- and a dvd/DivX player with mt1389 since........14 years!!!!
All the devices came from tiny brands, except the one with P60 (from Oppo)

PhoneEXZPERT, 03 Oct 2019is phone heat issue still at thing, or has it been fixed wi... more1 year life for mediatek chips is bullshit. i have redmi note 4 mediatek for about 3 years and its still working good. but heating issue is real and may bother you if u want to play games. maybe rn8 pro be better in this field because it has 12nm cpu and cooling system. rn4 has 20nm cpu and no cooling

xiaomi first makes it with mediatek
to earn enought money from cheap mediatek
after a while..maybe next year they will release it with snapdragon, amoled, 64mp cam
but until that day, realme in access, everything you wanna find in next rumor model Rn8T, NOW in REALME X2
