I have this phone since 2019 when it was released. It has never had a fault.

The only issue i have with A34 is that its very laggy (mainly after OUI6 update) meanwhile RN8P still feels smooth and no lagging at all. Are you experiencing the same?

One more thing, am I the only one who has noticed after a heavy load and it getting warm (especially the upper area opposite to the flash, where the SoC seems to be) the phone cools down relatively fast there?. I think it's because of the vapor chamber but it's quite curious.

The ultrawide improves somewhat (the macro not so much. It has autofocus too) using one of the many Google Camera ports for this phone.

Still holds well today, even if it heats up perceptibly when watching YouTube videos.

Using since launch almost a year ago had battery issue phone was heating too much and bootlooping. went to xiaomi's service centre they said some software issue no biggy. since then it's working great ...
WHY THIS PHONE IS NOT GIVING UP I NEED A NEW ONE ASAP...

Bought in February of 2021. After 2 years and the updates (without an update to android11 ) I can use the Firefox with 3 addons installed for 8 hours - the battery drains from 100% to 0% during these 8 hours. If not the unusable battery with small voltage I would stay with this phone next 3 years.

Bought this phone in early 2020, still rocking to this day. All part still intact besides i dropped this several times.i only changed volume button, even the battery is still decent with & years old usage. I really like the screen looking sharp and crisp even though it used ips not amoled yet. Thumbs up for xiaomi for making this great phone. Been looking for replacement, consider poco f6 or just wait for xiaomi 14t/ redmi k70 ultra?

This is a very good phone indeed, i bought it on May 2020, only needed to change the slightly swollen battery once after about 2 years of use. I've been writing app with this phone recently and found that the USB-C port disconnects occasionally so I brought a POCO X6 Pro, i'm still using this phone as my secondary phone now.

So, gonna change my Note 8 Pro soon, but will give it the eulogy it deserves. Bought it 4 years ago, used daily, the camera was good, with the "Pro" feature allows for some amazing shots, the performance at it's release was descent, still is usable, but newer games and sorts nowadays will make it sluggish. Even now after 4 years the battery is totally usable and doesn't fail me when needed. The reason I'm changing is only because of 64GB memory, it appears to lag and freeze up while typing on keyboard, but besides that, it preforms really well. So thanks Xiaomi for giving me a phone that lasted this long without a issue, in the future will look at more Xiaomi, but for now their note phone CPU's and GPU's are underwellming

That said, you will certainly not get 60 fps in Genshin Impact with it.

This phone heats like crazy just when watching a 1080p video on youtube... Yes, it delivers good performaces, but that's about it. Helio g90t, the hottest processor of 2020. Thankfully, now I have Galaxy A34 and it never heats up. It is a fair successor to Redmi Note 8 Pro - also a big phone (with bigger battery 5000mAh > 4500mAh) with teardrop notch and better software and support. Faster chanrging 25W > 18W. Android 13, now Android 14 up to Android 17. Redmi stopped at Android 11. Also redmi is overpriced now for no quality. Yes, samsug is overprise too but at least you get actuallly quality phone.
