After using this phone 2 months i found .-
1. Battry draining speed on red mark.
2. Faulty touch( previous RN8 was better rouch response.)
3. Slow charging with 12.0.5 update( max current 1 amp)
4. Camera average
6. Game play ok but faulty touch makes experience bad.
7. Performance average.
8. Face unlock, fingerprint accurate.
9. Heating . Ya surely due to 12nm cpu, and 16nm gpu and buggy optimization.
10. Speaker , mic ,jack working properly.
11. Value for 💰 - no.
12. Satisfied - No

I got 4/128 variant of Redmi Note 9. At first, this phone run smoothly , because i only use this for my gaming phone, i only got PUBG and Mobile Legends in this phone. Last night, I updated the latest MiUi 12, and it was a horrible updates ever where my Mobile Legends gets laggy even though i switched to smooth graphic, and when I play PUBG, the shot button was spamming out of nowhere, what I'm trying to say is, the update is not good because it has a lot of touch faulty, the battery drain so fast, and it gives you a huge drop of fps even you play games using smooth graphic. You should think before buying this phone.

Absolute rubbish phone. Lags to the point where it's unusable. Crashes all the time. Bitterly disappointed, especially after the positive experience of the Note 7.

Don't be deceived with the number. Go for note 8 Pro. It's way better.

Im in high school, and I want the best budget smartphone possible...then at Lazada 9.9, the Redmi Note 9 caught my...I was so happy that I could get good performance out of this phone, as expected though. After I trying it for the first time, it was sluggish...and I though this phone was a scam...there is something wrong with the cpu even after 6 months I think...playing games with low setting still lags...the Mediatek Helio G85 was supposed to be as fast as Snapdragon 665...but It was slow as hell...

I've been using Xiaomi phones for a while I stopped at the note 5a prime that I've been using for almost 4 years. It is my favorite phone of all time, it has a wonderful battery that lasted longer than any of my other samsung phone beforehand, fast responsiveness to all my taps and touches, good processing power for playing games. The phone to me started acting weird since it would start to drain really fast so I had to upgrade I got my note 9 this year on October and it has been in all honesty a nightmare. The screen to body ratio is impressive but everything else is choppy and sluggish. UI crashes from time to time I have never seen that many crashes in comparison to my note 5A prime, the camera is alright but definitely an upgrade, sound is mediocre compared to other phones that were released during the same period. To me these are minor nitpicks but the major issue here is the phone's inability to play any games. I am busy or outside most of the time so I play many phone games but mainly fps games the phone ran them terribly with many crashes, fps drops and glitching. So I thought I'd reset my phone entirely which didn't seem to help then I looked online to see if there was a fix, people said that you shouldn't have full screen ratio when playing and have to hide the notch, which I did then again nothing happened. I thought to myself that maybe I shouldn't play a cpu intensive game so I started playing gwent (card game) a lot and that was my final straw with this phone. It keeps on disoriented the screen, sound glitching, screen tearing midgame, two frames persecond and the many many crashes. Mind you this was on the lowest settings the game offered, in conclusion this is a heavy downgrade from my previous phone and I'm terribly disappointed I really don't know how can this phone pass quality checking procedures that's even if it's faulty.. terrible experience.

The phone is bloated with advertisements especially the file manager making it unusable. The apps don't interlink properly esp email and file manager. It is difficult to set finger print scan without multiple tries.
Switching from one SIM to another is Difficult and differs from app to app.
