      should i get a redmi note 9 or a redmi note 8? i can get both but i want to know which one has a better camera and gaming performance

Btw when did I say the 970 is better than g85 lol? Read my last message I clearly said 970 IS A FLAGSHIP LEVEL CHIPSET. Don't take gsmarena reviews too seriously open your mind up to other non biased reviewers. I will say it before I'll say it again this device has a good camera now plz comment as much as you want here because everybody knows you're just seeking some attention literally nobody is taking you serious here

You call ga... moreDude I don't know if you're challenged or have a hard time comprehending simple english. now let me repeat what I said, PUBG RUNS IN HDR AT MEDIUM FRAME RATE (30 FPS) and if you play on balanced you can get 40 fps. Still have a hard time understanding? I think it's pretty decent for casual gamers and if gaming is really your first priority then you're looking in the wrong budget segment. And this will get better with os updates and the updates launched by the games same case as redmi note 8. Now if you were really that bright you'd know about something called gfx tool which can enable you to play this game on 58-60 fps.

            Get yourself a flagship phone to end all of your heartache and misery on this device or you don't have the money for it? So you end up here pouring all of your frustrations cause this mid-range phone didn't meet your expectations.

            I've checked your comments and I can say that it's pure hate on RN9. You're trying to prove a point and kept pushing on it but sadly for you no one buys it. One or two negative opinion on a device is understandable but to the point you're ridiculing someone is just unethical and attention seeking. Do you get your daily dose of ego on this website by mocking someone? Cause that's just pathetic as it gets. Get a life.

              1. Xiaomi phones have exploded too, including Redmi Note 7 Pro.

              2. Different phones have different chipsets. Plenty of Oppo & Vivo phones have much more powerful chipsets than Redmi Note 9 & the opposite is also true.

              3. You completely missed the point about Helio G85 having poor app optimisation & giving very low performance as a result in games & other apps.
              But it's your loss if you choose to be ignorant, so yeah do that.

                    1. Real performance:
                    Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (Snapdragon 636) FPS in PUBG: 30.
                    Redmi Note 9 (Helio G85): 25-35
                    (According to Gamebench)

                    Nanoreview shows gaming performance according to benchmarks, meaning "what would be the performance of G85 *if it was optimised*".

                    Which it isn't, and as a result it only rivals Snapdragon 636 or at best Snapdragon 660. If it had optimisation, it could give 40-45FPS but let's stay in the real world.

                    1/5. You're trying to fight me because I said Kirin 970 is way better than Helio G85. But the same website link YOU shared PROVES Kirin 970 has much better gaming performance than Helio G85. Lmfao!!!

                    There goes your entire argument in the bin.
                    Rest of my comment is about educating you.


                    2. Heating:
                    There's a huge difference in heating & overheating. Overheating is also called throttling in mobile phones, which I didn't even mention. I've already explained this but since you've poor comprehensive skills:

                    Kirin 970 is a 10nm chipset while Helio G85 is a 12nm chipset. Lower "nm" chipsets tend to heat less & are more battery efficient in completing the same task.

                    Why? I don't want to start teaching you about circuit boards & laws of physics.
                    This is extremely common knowledge even for un-knowledgeable people of Gsmarena.


                    3. Camera:
                    I don't know if you're really that dumb or just too impatient to finish reading anything.

                    Redmi Note 9 selfie camera apertures are f/2.3 & 1/3.1 while Honor Play selfie camera apertures are f/2 & 1/3.06. Honor Play also has a higher MP selfie camera.
                    That's clearly the comparison I made.

                    Since you're tech-dumb & don't know what apertures are, I'll put it in simple words:
                    Redmi Note 9 selfie camera is *extremely* under-spec. Similar to budget/entry level phones. As you can see in camera samples by Gsmarena.

                    Fact: Camera tests by Gsmarena officials prove RN9 has a bad camera that can only take decent pics in good lighting, especially the selfie camera. I can only laugh at that quality.
                    Gsmarena criticised almost every aspect of its camera.

                    Given how you proved you know nothing about phones, I can't trust a test performed by someone like you.
                    Who doesn't know anything about apertures, lighting, foliage, details, noise, highlights, dynamic range, resolution, saturation to say "I've tested its camera"?


                    4. Just to help you understand how silly your "facts & figures" are and why you shouldn't give your opinions:

                    Snapdragon 710 has higher GPU frequency than Snapdragon 845.
                    According to your logic, Snapdragon 710 "easily beats" Snapdragon 845.

                    Congrats, you found out you know nothing about Chipsets!

                        Nope, G85 has poor app optimisation so it still doesn't have good gaming performance.

                        All this phone has to offer is IR Blaster & battery. Definitely avoid this phone.

                              It's wider than the redmi note 7 pro.
