Multitasking is broken after Android 11 update. I have 4GB RAM and every app is restating when switching apps after the Android 11 update.. Xiaomi did this intentionally because after every new series phone launch they intentionally bug the old version and never bother to fix. I'm literally just want to throw this phone because of broken multitasking but I have no other phone to use. Factory resetting didn't help either.

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2021can I ask if what is better, 9s or 9 pro? 1. Charging speeds: Redmi note 9 pro has faster charging speeds. 18W in Redmi note 9S vs 30W in Redmi note 9 Pro.
2. Cameras: Redmi note 9 Pro has the 64MP Samsung Bright S5KGW1, while Redmi note 9S has the 48MP Samsung S5KGM2.
3. NFC: Redmi note 9 pro has NFC while the 9S does not.
Minor differences:
4. minor difference in SAR levels, not really noticeable, one has higher value on the head and the other one has a higher value on the body
5. minor difference in Bluetooth codec support. Redmi note 9S has bluetooth SBC support

I have purchased Redmi Note 9 Pro in November 2020 from a shop in Pakistan. After 2 weeks, whenever i open the camera app, it started giving me a notification similar to camera lens needs to be cleaned. I ignored this warning at that time. After few more i weeks, picture quality was too blurry and upon looking into camera lens, i noticed that it has minor dust inside the lens. Product technical specs are good but due to poor quality material, it is not a best return for your money. For all those who are interested in buying Redmi Note 9 Pro, this phone is not a good return for your money. Don't buy this phone.

This phone is good.
Have been using it for 6 months (6gb ram/128gb).
So here is mine short review
1.battery is great, after work I am still above 50% (push mail, but I dont use Facebook,twitter,insta or twitch)
2.gorilla glass sucks, I am wearing phone in my jacket pocket and I really dont know why is so scratched
3.had problems with hearing others in phone calls,but I went to the store and they have cleaned it ( I think it was tobacco Crumbs)
4.gaming is ok, It doesnt overheat
5.sometimes (2-3 times a month)phone freeze for a few seconds,but only in internet browser,never in game or youtube (maybe its Chrome) and you have to close all apps and start all over again.
6.muting when talking ....this really bothers me. Sensor is obviously bad or too sensitive. 90% of my talks I mute myself (with ear) and ofc I dont know that,so tgmhe conversations are frustrating...rly 90% of time i mute myself. They rly need to change something about that.
7.price was rly good (220€ in the store)

Hi. Just bought a new note 9 pro last week and it's asking me for an update.. pls should i update it to the latest version? I don't know if it stable. Because I once heard that the pervious ones do drain battery Alot

The fingerprint sensor on this device is utterly horrible.. You need to constantly wipe your finger everytime you want to unlock your phone. It is so annoying.

I have had the Redmi Note 9S for nine months, and I consider it a waste of money for the following reasons
1. It drops calls, about 1/3 of my calls are dropped, never had this problem with Samsung or Huawei
2. Screen is unreadable in bright daylight, the screen is totally illegible in bright daylight from 10 a.m. until 3.30 p.m, even with the brightness all the way up
3. There are way way too many ads. there are ads advertising other ads, ever since Xiaomi incorporated ad generating software into their operating system the amount of ads has almost tripled in quantity, yet Xiaomi makes it very difficult to stop these ads.
4. Battery life for the first six months was fantastic however there seems to be a decline in the length of time one can go before one needs to recharge
I would not recommend this phone to anyone

I have recently broken my P30 which was a perfect phone for me. At the moment, I can't afford to buy the same phone since it is not available through the network. What they're offering me in the desired price range is Redmi 9 Pro and Huawei p40 Lite.
Which one would you suggest? I do use camera a lot.

JJC, 28 Feb 2021This or x3 nfc as I can buy them for the same price. of course X3... SD732G vs 720G, 120hz vs 60 hz display... Note 9 has better battery backup bcoz of weaker cpu.

So I've been using redmi note 9 pro for 9-10 moths now, i swear it's the worst phone ever, 2 months back there was a bug due to which my phone was not even opening I went to the service center and they removed it with removing all my data , now there is a charging problem, even after charging for 1 hour the battery increases by 5% only I have changed many chargers but nothing is working man! It sucks.
There were a lot of other problems too but these are the major ones.
