That is amazing, almost all of them by far bootlooped and end up as expensive paperweights. Camera was excellent, specially for it's time and it was one of the very first phones to feature a wide angle camera, what you have now is clearly a downgrade, just modern day.

relatively good phone for its price, but still i am disappointed

After long months of waiting and hesitating, i finally got this fon as an attempt to replace my aging LG G4.
Build quality of the hardware appears robust - the fingerprint scanner is reliable, display is ... not brilliant but ok, audio quality of telephony is good (yes this still is an important point) e.g. when phoning in a noisy environment, the fon does a good job.
                GPS accuracy is very good.

However i am returning the phone -- it is mainly the bad software quality that disappoints me.
Right on startup from factory, it made system updates and presented me with MUI12 and Android10 (not Android11)!
Either in MUI, or in direct parts of firmware, there are annoying glitches. For example the vibration-motor (which is hardware-wise very exact and nice to feel) is supposed to give me short feedbacks when typing... but it gives feedbacks out of the blue when i am not even touching the screen. When scrolling through menus, it for no apparant reason goes hm or hm hm regularily which annoys because you tend to think a message has arrived or something else...
Tripple-tap to enlarge text does not work very well, the enlarged part of the window occasionally jumps about wildly.
Double-tap to wake screen or put it to sleep, only works sporadically.
In my version there was no call-recording feature (i think they now use the phone dialler of Google), also the calendar-app simply is the one from Google.
Then, i cannot add a private Microsoft EXCHANGE account. There aparantly is no real Exchange implementation in the phone. At least not when trying to add a @hotmail.com or @outlook.com or @live.com account. I can add an exchange account in Googles Gmail but this will not integrate into the calendar / contacts app. A shame, because most phones of today properly integrate Exchange.
Screen-Casting is very rudimentary - only a version of Miracast, no MHL.

Cameras are good and i greatly looked forward to the manual modes, especially the manual VIDEO mode and yes, it's usable, but still the overall camera quality does not make me happy, even 'me 5y old phone makes sharper pictures...

Please don't get me wrong ----- for someone who needs a medium smartphone, this is good value for money and one can hope that the software glitches will finally be fixed.
But having (only slight) demands slightly above normal, it disappoints.
Though the general hardware is good - also the fact that you can use 2 SIMs + SD card (no hybrid version) really is great, quality of sim tray / ejection is perfectly ok.
But the whole phone does not appear to be fully developed to the end, and Firmware made in a hurry ...

babak, 08 Jan 2021i think he bought note 9s,several of 9s has reboot problems... moreWhat about the dust in the camera. the 9 pro is afflicted with that one, really it's a disgrace that you have to buy from a company with a blacklist in hand, buy the wrong model and you get burned, with the A series they just refused to provide an stable update to the A3 and then abandoned the line altogether.

buyer, 08 Jan 2021I didn't had any biases against xiaomi. But experience... moreYou know, try a different launcher, maybe you will get rid of some of the junk. Horrible business model from chinese companies, people still go for it incredibly.

This will be a small double review about note 9 pro and note 10 lite 5G, as i bought these two xiaomi phones for about 220 euro each.
Before i was a long time samsung user.
When i wanted to upgrade from samsung xcover4( both me and my wife used the same phone models for 3 years)and did alot of research what is the best i can get for about 250 euro, and use the phone for at least 2 years, one way or another xiaomi was the only option.

I would choose note 10 lite 5G over the note 9 pro for these reasons:
1)amoled screen is more brighter, better quality overall
                        2) note 10 lite 5G is thicker, more comfortable to hold in hands
                        3) front camera waterdrop style totally fits the overall design, dont like that the note 9 pro front camera sticks out of the body and is in the screen zone (just my opinion)

I would choose note 9 pro over the note 10 lite 5G for these following reasons:
                        1)more premium body build/look
                        2)slightly better camera quality
                        3) SD card slot, and the price difference between 64 and 128 GB version is non-essential, i bought the 128 GB.

As i upgraded latest android 11 and MIUI 12.1.2 for the note 10 lite 5G, and didnt upgrade the note 9 pro on purpose to compare them, i can tell that some may feel dissapointed by the update, i find the older MIUI more easy to operate.
Cant see in facebook messenger the text when im typing, maybe somebody know how to fix this?

My verdict is that i prefer to use the note 10 lite 5G, but both are amazing phones phones for the price, its all up to you, which + or - matter to you the most.

I didn't had any biases against xiaomi. But experience is rather different with xiaomi and motorola. I bought motorola g8 power for my spouse. Maybe hardware is not the best of moto g8 power for that price, but clean android and ability customize privacy is good and also saves mobile data. Smooth casual experience with motorola. And now, few weeks ago I have bought redmi note 9 pro. Yes, hardware is way better, but OS has only bells and whistles and privacy customization is absence. Miui is real crap, after newest updates if you try to customize privacy and remove constant ads everywhere than UI starts lagging and even phone bricks, you have to reboot it. ..Ads ads ads & shitty bells and whistles, constant tracking and privacy violations. Some kind of horrible experience. Maybe for those who does not give a damn shit about privacy and constant annoying ads xiaomi is good option. Idk...

Zangetsu, 04 Jan 2021Which is better note 9 pro or x3 nfc in terms of Battery p... moreWith the dust eating rear cameras the N9pro is almost a no go (and a laughable QC issue), the only thing going for it against the X3 is the all important price, price, price.

On the X3 side many heavy users are complaining about the battery life. So look into that if you want more than 10 hours SOT.

To me I think The X3 NFC is well worth small extra $ for all around better hardware.

The difference only when u do scrolling. X3 will be much smoother because that 144 refresh rate. Note 9 pro felt more pelremium because that glass back made by corning. X3 people said u can push the back of the phone there is like empty space there. Its made of plastic. I have note 9 pro.. its well balance phone. Oh yes the camera for video x3 is better it can record 4k 30 with electric stabilizer. Note 9 can but without stabilizer. So ur video will look jerky.
