If you have been suffering from unstable hotspot sharing like i did for the past 3 years, i found the solution.
Go to hotspot settings
Set "select AP band" to 5G
Done
Now wifi hotspot network is faster and stable if screen stays on.
Best phone iv ever used!

Bloated battery was basically due to overusing the phone while charging and the back cover poped out due to the heat. Had to factory reset the phone and installed a new battery and cables since I had this sudden rebooting problem. The phone is still in working condition but I am waiting for the Infinix Note 30 VIP to arrive since my Note 9S only had 128gb of storage. I have tons of games and I prefer to use the internal storage for that reason. I also have moist fingers which does not do well when playing action based and FPS games. Somehow moist fingers and a warm screen does not recognize my screen touches at some times. Still keeping my iPhone XR and Xiaomi Note 9S. :D

Hi. I got this phone from 2021 when it was first announced however the supply I got was straight from Hongkong since our country has not released this model it yet. The issues I've had was bloatware, frequent software updates, heating problems, unusual boot loop problems and the phone power's off after a few minutes. I made a bad choice to play games while charging. It diminished the battery life and 2 years later, it bloated the battery to the point that the glass back cover popped out. At the same time I lost my volume keys since it did not hold that much. I've made arrangements to replace the battery myself and a cable that may be either for the display or battery. I've also formatted the phone completely and made observations. So far after 3 months of observation. Everything worked fine. I think it is really important to not push the phone past its limits and not completely deplete the battery too much to the point of it turning off. It may take a few minutes at some point for the phone to take charge. Definitely use the original charger. However I am fine with it charging using an adapter only giving 5w or below every time I leave it charging overnight.

Just got the MIUI 14 update and I gotta say this is better than the previous version. Smoother interface and battery seems to last longer too. However, the ghost touch is still there and sometimes my notification light is not working. The camera still fail to auto focus.

I dont think its 18w wired charging. I have done extensive research with this phone and it can only supply maximum of 12w charging, i dont know if its an user error but for me it seems that this specification is inaccurate. I dont blame the author

Anonymous, 27 Jun 2023Just got MIUI 13.0.2 on my redmi note 9s is it safe The 13.0.2 build has caused several issues for users, google it for more information, but the good news is that you should receive a v14 build right after you install the 13.0.2 build, and my recommendation is that you update to the v14 build immediately, as it provides a very smooth experience, at least on my phone.

I've had an unpleasant experience with this phone. SIM activation doesn't work since upgrading form MIUI 12 to 13.
