Note 9s User, 19 Jun 2020I think this one is better because of the chipset, Mediatek... moreNote 8 pro over heating is a myth. On paper note 9s handles heating better but in reality the difference is not close to anything serious. Note 8 pro also has a heat dissipation material built in specifically to control internal temperature just like a flagship gaming phone. So all this heating stories is simply a product of ignorance.
Again note 8 pro has a much brighter screen than note 9s so even though note 8 pro is only HDR compatible it is still overall better.
Again note 8 pro is a far better looking device than note 9s. Also most games in play store offer more graphics settings in note 8 pro. In my opinion note 9s is almost a mess in redmi standards. That camera design is just childish looking. This is coming from a note 8 pro user.

Scythor, 19 Jun 2020Which phone is better between this and Redmi Note 8 pro for... moreIn therms of performance both chipsets are almost equal. Difference comes if you do long gaming sessions - MTK starts trotting after 15-20 mins of playing, SD have no problems with that. My advice is if you choose 9s, go for 6/128 version.

Underdog, 19 Jun 2020Do you guys recommended this for budget gaming? thanksSeems to run games perfectly fine for me, CoD Mobile runs at Max setting with no issues from my experience, but I have the 6GBRam and 128GB storage, so.....take my word with a grain of salt....happy phone hunting tho

Scythor, 19 Jun 2020Which phone is better between this and Redmi Note 8 pro for... moreI think this one is better because of the chipset, Mediatek in Note 8 pro is pretty good but not for long sessions as your phone may get heat up because of the processor, but with this phone, SD can handle games more consistently than Mediatek, you can have long sessions of gaming with huge battery and minimal heating or no heating at all, battery consumption is good with SD as compared to Mediatek, you're getting screen with HDR10, a lot of little things which matters when you're looking for a phone which can do everything in this price. I guess that's the Redmi Note 9s. Hope I helped!

xSavagex, 17 Jun 2020Is this phone better than Redmi Note 8 pro at gaming, CPU a... moreI would say yes. Helio G90T is arguably more powerful, but SD720G is still better.
G90T is 12nm chipset. The problem is, high FPS in games is perhaps the biggest factor that heats up your device.
And if it heats up too much, it starts "throttling", which s a Kernel safety mechanism that slows down your chipset to cool it down & avoid damage. When this happens, you face major lag in games.
720G is 8nm chipset. It's *much* more battery & heat efficient chipset than G90T, so you're unlikely to face throttling issues.
Its performance is also not that far off from G90T, so it should give you consistent/reliable performance in games.

Sam, 17 Jun 2020Don't u feel that the voice is low while we use earphones? ... moreWhen i use headphones on 9s it is loud enough that i can hear clearly, music or vocals. But if you're not satisfied with sound volume you may download apps like sound booster from playstore.. or your ears may be dirty, try cleaning your ears with cotton buds.
