Ok, so today i got the redmi note 9s, and im wondering, why haven't i gotten the MiUi 11.1 version? I still have MiUi 11.0.1. My friend who got a Mi note 10 had the updates for MiUi 11.1

The notch is horrible, even on black background is worse than a classic notch, it attracts attention all the time.
Xiaomi, don't you have employees able to make a normal hide notch option? The current one has the black bar not completely covering the notch, there are a few pixels of the notch getting into the display. The corners aren't rounded, so it creates an awful asymmetry.
I managed to get a 3rd party app, but when viewing pictures fullscreen the content gets under the black bar, there's need for an official notch hider that's not horrible.
Also, if you're going to release a new notch hider, make go it 3-4 pixels lower than the notch, because the notch has a nasty shadow around it, it's better to lose a few pixels than see that awful shadow.

[deleted post]I had that issue too but it seems to have been resolved after a patch update
I do have other issues with not receiving calls and calls dropping though

Has anyone else had the issue of calls dropping randomly?
I'm also unable to receive calls sometimes… both extremely annoying issues that fail the basic functions of a phone
Earlier it also had the issue of wifi connection suddenly gone out of nowhere but that seems to have been fixed with a patch

A quick first impression. A solid build, very snappy performance and plenty of power. Such big phones are impossible to wear in jeans pockets. MIUI is actually a really poor and disfunctional UI with lots of every day optiona simply missing. The main camera is a disaster - blurry, pixelated photos with awful details. As with all multiple lenses phones all other cameras are completely pointless. Definitely a good value phone, but you probably have to look for a cracked GCam port for it to be a proper shooter.
