The eye care display makes this pad better than iPad pro with those blue screens. After buying the pad I was disappointed with the low multitasking level it offered, the pad before iPad mini 2019 is still a literal MONSTER you can't fill it's RAM!! with a midrange pad from 2019... But here there was lags while multitasking, however when I adjusted the memory extension from 4gb to 8gb now it flies. I have a almost world class multitasking device at my disposal. The iPad mini never lagged bro. It was such a a experience...

AYK123, 09 Jul 2024I have been using xiaomi devices since a long time, it'... moreOnly because they are collecting more data. And their business model is different than that of Samsung.
But, you are right, their price/performance ratio is far better than Samsung's.
I think in the end it comes down to what people prefer most. If someone wants better software updates and slightly better looking Ui (more colorful), they should go with Samsung tablets/phones. For better price/performance ratio and Appleish looking Ui, than they should go with Xiaomi/Redmi tablets/phones.

Anonymous, 23 Jul 2024Guys just a quick heads up:
There is a 5g version of this ... moreWhat do you mean so many versions? Is normal for every tablet out there (even iPads). They have Wi-Fi only version and 5G/4g versions.
True, there is a Poco Pad now, which is exactly the same tablet but made by Poco. But, even in this case is nothing new. Almost all Redmi products have a similar correspondent in Poco products.

Guys just a quick heads up:
There is a 5g version of this pad. Look it up.
Why do they make so many different versions of the same tablet I don't get it?! Only adds to the confusion.

AYK123, 09 Jul 2024I have been using xiaomi devices since a long time, it'... moreThis is true; for the price, the hardware and firmware are a great value, and there is market pressure to keep the price down and continual changes from Android and the component suppliers, so the bugs are understandable and will probably be ironed out soon as HyperOS also serves the Ultra phones and other high-end Xiaomi devices.

For all the fawning over hardware, not enough focus is given to the rather buggy and intrusive operating system.
There is constant pressure to create a Mi account or suffer some loss of functionality. For other functionality (screen casting) you need other Xiaomi devices. Also, if you use the system optimizer or whatever it is called, you'll get three dots for the multitasking menu at the top of the screen always. This has been the case for at least six months. It cannot be moved or removed without disabling the optimizer thing.
Many apps---including Gboard and the two major non-ad-supported PDF readers---need to be completely restarted after changing settings or else there will be problems. (In the case of Gboard, swipe coordinates are not translated correctly with certain keyboard size/location settings.) You cannot disable autoconnecting to a saved wireless connection, which is annoying e.g. if you connect devices like a Sony Alpha or an Allen and Heath mixer that connects using its own Wi-Fi network. Background image can't just be removed; it has to be replaced with a plain color image using a third-party app supporting "use as wallpaper".
Some apps which makes sense for removal (YT Music, a handful of other Google apps, some of the branded system apps like Music and Gallery) cannot be removed nor disabled. Yet other apps (La Marzocco) are incompatible with this tablet but not other Android 14 tablets.
There are weird things like the power menu animation dots spazzing out when animations are disabled or a weird flicker that happens when the screen is rotated in Kiwi browser. Swiping down from the upper left is a different menu than swiping down from the upper right. The three icon navigation (instead of gestures) is not implemented well: some apps will draw underneath these instead of changing their window size.
I heard they implemented their own TEE (keeping secure data secure) which is frankly a bit dumb with the amount of security research that has already combed through existing TEE solutions. No thank you. Depending on how you plan to use this tablet, I would recommend NOT installing banking apps, password managers, or anything else you wouldn't want the government or motivated capitalists casually discovering one day. Unless you personally understand cryptography and can step through their TEE line-by-line, you should assume it has bugs and/or backdoors and just make reasonable-yet-safe choices.
One feature I hoped to see that is missing? being able to play audio from the tablet speakers via Bluetooth like the new Lenovo tablets...
As is tradition with non-iOS platforms, Xiaomi has added a lot of visual flair but forgotten to properly bug test all of the functionality. HyperOS is a flipped home: new tiles, curtains, carpet, better HVAC but DON'T PEEK at the underlayment or plumbing! The lawn was green when you bought it... was it healthy grass or just dry weeds covered in paint?

Nekomimi, 08 Jul 2024I'm sorry it took me this long to reply you. About t... moreThank you for your response, I think I will be choosing redmi pad bcuz, i need sd card to expand later and I don't want expensive cloud support, I have checked about the stylus , it's downgrade but cheaper and I won't be using it all time, so that's fine, If I choose pad 6 256gb is 17% higher price here in my region which seem expensive to me and the stylus for pad 6 also expensive, reason to choose this one is Sd card support and yes 1 year more update support. And headphone jack is another plus point, for battery I was checking many comparism and found out slight difference from many review

About the battery, just as GSMArena reviewed, it does drain quickly with just gaming.( I played wuthering wave)
As for reading and noted taking, I think it would last you about 1 and a half day with continues use.
The price of redmi pad compare to pad6 are because the redmi pad(8/256) comes with a free keyboard while the pad6 well, you only get the tab.
The main reason as I go with this instead of the more powerful and flagship tablets are the headphones jack. I have a few pairs of Headphones and IEM.
My opinion is that, find something that suit your need the most. While the redmi pad good as an all rounder, the pad6 without a doubt is a lot more powerful, more optimize such as keyboard and the pen. You need to charge both keyboard and pen if you get the redmi pad. That's is something that I find a little let down. Oh yeah, the chipset too, having the dimensity 7200, dimensity 8050 or 7 gen 3 would be much better I guess.
That's all I want to say. Sorry for the long comment.

Ya I got same, just need 2 tablets and it's for my daughters,
When I find some looks good then xiaomi pad 6 is just littlen£10-£20 more.
Like this one, price is good but I can have xiaomi pad 6 8/256 for £260 then this is £299 😂
But yes bigger screen and battery, main they use for video or some roblox and school so not need super duper.
Have same dilemma 😂

My main concerns are battery life and the stylus. The Pad 6 is only 5% more expensive, which isn't a significant difference. If the Redmi Pad Pro lasts longer, I'd prefer it because of its 10000mAh battery, but I'm unsure about its performance with the chipset. The Pad 6 also promises good battery life with its UFS 3.0 storage and faster chipset. I don't need high performance since I'll mainly use it for reading and note-taking. I'm still confused about which one to choose, given the minimal price difference and similar features

my god the specs are mouth watering, and just 200 bucks? It's making me consider this one over the pad 6. But please tell me, is the display on that one better? I can't tell from just reading the sheet and I 110% only care about the display
