sugam, 18 Aug 2016OMG! Deca core in 2.5 ghz abd OLED screen then why they rat... morejust got one, the photo result was really bad compared to my old GNote4.
but the 2nd lens good job making bokeh pictures.
so why 5/10?? like i said the photo result was bad. but i know it's only softwarr issues, immature/premature software on this early stage.
i think if we wait awhile for few months better rom will popped up with some polishing.
this is my personal experience with xiaomi phone: xiaomi phones remove android element completely and replaced with theirs UI. i mean really stuffed!
for me that's really bad thing!
also bad thing about xiaomi: they rarely upgrade their os, they only updates their UI often. so let say if u got jellybean xiaomi phone, u will be stuck forever in that OS.
don't dream about getting update to L or M.
redmi pro will be my last xiaomi phone. i will be moving to better supported dev phone such as Motorola, nexuses, or even cheap phone like UMI phones (umi super) that surprisingly supported by XDA dev communities

You'd like to hope with two high MP cameras this would do a better job. I really think they should have used a black and white sensor for the 2nd camera though like some of the competition. Apparently it really helps in low light and does amazing b&w photos. Having a 2nd camera only to do the bokeh effect is dumb.

I know mimax ... moreFor anyone wanting comparisons across models, I'm doing some, especially woth camera in mind.
I have:
- Mi 5 Pro/Ceramic 4gb/128gb
- Mi Max SD652/4gb/128gb
- Redmi Pro X25/3GB/64gb
I'll post some pics and my thoughts in a day or two. I'm comparing against an S6 and OP3. I wasn't impressed with the pics on the OP3 (noisy and smudgy for detail, and video was plain bad).
I will say this re. initial impressions. The Mi 5 takes quick, nice pics. Nice colour reproduction but can be a bit noisy. The Max doesn't have OIS and it shows. It's also a bit sluggish to snap a shot so thats where tue money is saved mainly. As for the Redmi Pro, it focuses and shutters quickly. The second lens seems gimmicky and imitates low Fstops. To me it seems if you like crazy bokeh in post production - something my Note 4 did years ago. Maybe I need to play more with it. However, the G5 has two genuinely useful lenses.
